Control, power, comfort & applause! Jesus taught that approval that seeks the applause of men is actually approval that goes AGAINST God's will. That’s how the enemy gets you! The thief comes only to steal, kill & destroy. I came that they may have life & have it abundantly.💜 John 10:10

What can we do to help though. If someone comes up with a great idea on how we can help Dr. Peterson or how we can overturn the law that's compelling us to say specific words C-16? Should we begin a petition? I've checked out 2 different petition sites and I can't find any Canadian petitions to address the erosion of our Right to Freedom of Expression under threat of prison and/or fine. Should we write to our politicians to get C-63 quashed? I don't know what we can do but those are a few things I've mulled over the past few weeks but would like to hear from others and get some brainstorming going. Whatever we do, it needs to be done in grand numbers.

Jordan was spot on. He was completely right when he said that Jonah fleeing from his call to speak the truth publicly caused him to drift into a useless sleep where he was of no use to anyone. That part hit me hard. I had gotten quite comfortable but was being challenged to get much less comfortable. The result has been apathy, and circumstances that had never been an issue have started to pop up all over the place. Waiting and avoiding has made it worse. So I am resolved to move forward and stop avoiding my calling.

I can't say that I do this all the time, but I remember myself being in a position where I needed to speak the truth, when everyone around me (approx 80 people) were too intimidated to talk. Thankfully, I was able to shut down my fears and just say the words which so desperately needed to be said. My words of truth cut like a razor, exposing and aggravating a festering wound. This moment was terribly uncomfortable, but once the shock and angry response was over, the painful situation was soon replaced by a form of peace and beauty. In the end, everyone benefited from my efforts, and I thanked God for giving me the courage to step forward blindly, trusting that he would guard my path. Jordan's story about Jonah seemed to describe my experience so perfectly that I simply had to tell you all...

There is reference to Jonah in the book of 2 Kings 14:23-25. This provides a little context to Jonahs life before his adventures documented in the book of Jonah. "23 In the fifteenth year of Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah, Jeroboam son of Jehoash king of Israel became king in Samaria, and he reigned forty-one years. 24 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord and did not turn away from any of the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit. 25 He was the one who restored the boundaries of Israel from Lebo Hamath to the Dead Sea, in accordance with the word of the Lord, the God of Israel, spoken through his servant Jonah son of Amittai, the prophet from Gath Hepher."(NIV) The primary points I take from this are that Jonah had visions that told of Israels economic and political recovery. The second is that Jonah came from the northern kingdom of Israel, which rejected the word of God and the line of David in the 10 century BC (Jonah is estimated to have lived in the 8 century BC.) I would imagine that this would make him popular in the eyes of the people around him, and how he might have additional reason to not mess up the good will he probably had, by going too there enemies and saving there capital city from destruction. This makes him an odd choice for God to use. God takes this unwilling rebellious prophet from His unwilling rebellious tribes and makes him a hero to a foreign nation that has never even heard of God. This should not work out for God, but He uses those He wills as He pleases. This points to the future where Jesus calls all nations to himself and is also God poking at us to pay attention to what lengths He will go to reach us.

Jonah was called to be vulnerable, ids more than obedience and sacrifice, honouring the truth or not, he had fear or rejected his calling… God was like,”oh no you don’t.” He’s not just some wrathful punishing God but love… he is love and justice… this wasn’t a mere arrogant or egotistical benevolence or mercy… We can see through the heart and mind of Christ he is love and justice and so much more than just that, what is or isn’t the wrath or discipline of God to be disciplined by.

Wowza. Thank you Mr. Peterson. I had a dream about Jonah and you made it make sense. I thought about Jonah and I thought about Christ’s agony in the garden. Both were agonized by the will of God and One chose to accept it. The will of God will not always feel good but we have to accept it.

I got a brain injury about 3 or 4ish years ago and this video(along with many others) that you've made have helped me answer a lot of questions about it and my life itself. The whole point of me saying this is that I'm stuck in my home country of Canada and can't even comprehend how much of a loophole/trap that I'm in. My life is literally this, because of the brain injury I can't say what I think AT ALL. Unless I'm attacking someone harshly by mistake(which I'm doing constantly). The medical system here has completely screwed me over and I've had almost no help. I haven't had many options(at all) and the ones that I've been FORCED to take is because it's "too late"(or some bs like that), have done me in greatly. I used to never think about someone else's gender, s*xual orientation, or race in a hateful way. Or anything about them that they couldn't change (like where they come from). Now though? That's all I do. Because of (I hate it so, I hope not): Politics and Religion. And I hate it. I hate myself, I hate(or at least i think I do) everything. I used to have great relationships with pretty much everyone in my family and elsewhere. Now though? XD I still live with my parents and my sister. And I can't afford anything. And we might not talk about it but we pretty much can't stand each other anymore because of it. I'm beyond depressed and suicidal. I'm almost 27 and I've never had a significant other, GF or otherwise. I swear God's made me do and go through some hard weird sh*t. All I know is that it was for a reason. We wanna "go home" to our creator, to live with him and leave this mess of a tragedy behind. And I think I was put on this earth and made to go through these challenges to help people get there and back. I hope to meet you one day and shake your hand Mr. Peterson and I'd like to thank you/ask you some questions XD.

I've lived a life of truth. It's definitely not a "bed of roses" or maybe, much towards the literal bed of rose bushes. There is a solidity to every conversation most people cannot deal with, an unarguability most cannot stand to hear. There is an extreme resistance in typical social structures those in the way of truth telling, as Mr. Peterson wonderfully explained, will be confronted with, sometimes rather ... painfully or maybe fatally. Scripture: "They hated the Truth, and loved the lie..." What kind of people do that? Jordan expressed about That too. It's totalitarian.

Watching you over the years, it's easy to see the progress you've made with your speech as well. It inspires much hope within myself that I too will one day become just as articulate, if not more so. The price that must be paid to obtain that level of clarity is not quite so clear as of today, but there is many variables and each one must be sharpened deliberately. Your lectures on your book Maps of Meaning was extraordinarily helpful to me as I recovered through complex trauma. Now I'm revisiting the subject for in depth study with the intention of sharing the information. I've discovered the more I wrote out my past, the greater my awareness of myself and others has grown. A level of peace that radiates outwards and attracts folks. I feel a personal message to me from source in your lecture. Right after I healed to a new level of complacency these past couple weeks, I've just been letting time pass and so slowly just piecing together a new life. However I've noticed I've been really tired for about a week and choosing to sleep instead of heeding the call to journal out my future. Laying down a couple hours ahead of my usual sleep time just to lay there awake instead the entire time. I do love writing but it took me 50 hours to journal out 40 pages last time and that didn't even cover half my memory of the past. I'm very intimidated by the possibility of spending weeks to journal out the unimagined future. Although, thinking about it in that manner... a few weeks seems like a fairly nice price. A few weeks for a path to my wildest dreams? I suppose I need to be dreaming for awhile.
