Black and Black aligned celebrities, millionaires, billionaires, are sorely out of touch with Black working class, poor, and middle class folks. This has always been the case. Pryor and Mooney would talk about how easy it was to sell out, the short gratification of selling out, the greater harm caused to the community, and the need to keep a clean conscience. Even our Black academics who become celebrities can be problematic. I remember Sister Soldier on Phil Donahue having to check Cornell West. That was back in the 90s. We have to be able to recognize when our greats are no longer for us. We can hold them accountable and let them know what it is and ain't, or we can leave them to their love of money and fame.

Ice cube was correct. Should've stood on his stance about those korean stores and people. They are very nasty to their black customer's. Can we just wear our natural hair.
@Meo91313 ай бұрын
Auntie Regina is correct. I can count numerous times when I was followed in Asian owned beauty supply stores. Only once was I not followed and it was because the Asian owned store was owned by a Christian Asians. If I need supplies I either make it myself, pay extra for the stylist to get them, or wait 1-2 weeks for the items from a black owned beauty supply store in Cali.

In this "Cancel-Culture" era as a Celebrity or individual who has Status or a HUGE FOLLOWING, you can't even afford to be "unapologetic" because folks is wayyyyy too touchy nowadays. We have seen MANY people speak their minds only to have to come back and apologize.

Because their not 😂

@@unapologetic1413 the thing is sometimes speaking your mind is genuinely wrong. You can't just go around saying the most foul things and expecting people to agree or expecting all of us to agree. They come back and apologize because they don't wanna lose followers or money. If you feel so horrendously, than stand on that. But do they? No

Ice Cube sat down at the white house and listened to a bunch of lies. There was not one thing orange man inacted. Ice Cube didn't even know what was in the contract when interviewed and asked to break it down what orange man was going to. He had good intentions but was not educated enough to understand his own contract and knew nothing about politics. When questioned he didn't have the answers. I watched his interview. Born and raised in California and grew up in the listening to NWA and then Ice Cube and Dre. He was cool until he started speaking of things he doesn't know that's all. I guess he's trying.
