A lot of people are running away from Tanzania Samia government. If you are corrupt and a thief, your business will thrive, because Tanzania is governed by cartels and thieves. Guess what they want to give the president more 5 years. It is a torture to many Tanzanian.

I've been here in Tanzania for 2 months. I'm approved for a class C retiree residence permit yet still waiting for my ID. I had to pay for a visitor's visa on arrival in spite of my prior approval. Dealing with immigration is a pain so having to deal with them x7 is ridiculous! Otherwise, my time here has been amazing! I'm boarding with a wonderful Tanzanian retired couple. They are "empty nesters" and their home is large and lovely. "Be free" said my hostess lol! I am keeping Shabbat with a group of 4 who invited me into their circle. I met a few "messy" diasporans and now see why my new found circle keep to themseves! I rather interact with the locals. The cost of living is mind boggling after dealing with inflation in America. I love living near the beach. TMH is taking care of me and I trust Him to take me to the next level here on the continent❣️

@@BantuLisa yes enjoy yourself. I am also retired and have been there and was deciding to move there. But what stopped me was yes you can get a retirement visa, but if your children are over 18 that won’t happen for them and then here comes the business visa and this is the one that really cracked me up after you get the business visa you have to apply for a permit to work in your business. so you know saying if my children and grandchildren are not welcome leave am I. I chose SOUTH AFRICA praise to the most high that I did. Because I have acquired 30 acres for under $10000 and I have the deed and title in my name! not like in Tanzania where you have to have of the Tanzanians on your title

I lived in Liberia for 16 years. I always had a Liberian who would intercede and interact with these people for me. It saved a lot of anguish and frustration. This is actually the best way to live in these countries. My guy was also able to talk these people down. Also, because, I was giving back to the community, hiring Liberians, running an after school program, the citizens around me would tell them "Don't bother her, she is good." It is crucial to establish to establish real relationships with the citizens. It is not easy to do, but it must be done. Most communities have community leaders. Start there.

Shalom I was heading to move to Tanzania in 2019 but when I started talking to lawyers there, I knew that transition was not gonna be good. You can’t only land unless Tanzania is part ownership of that land. You have to have a business if you’re not retirement age, then you have to get a business license to work into your business but what pissed me off the most was the African-Americans, screaming, and hollering leading people there knew these problems were there, but as I was taught was done, the dark will come to the light now it’s in the light I will stay my South Africa the most has made for me to purchase 30 acres under $8000 the South African ain’t paying no damn attention down here. I am a Tanzanian , i agree with some of the things written here about Tanzania are true , the systems and process to get citizenship is difficult and this has be made so to prevent abuse ,unfortunately it seems not to work smoothly , i have no problem with land policy in Tanzania, as a citizen i can own land any area i want provided i have the means , what Tanzania wants to avoid is land being confiscated by few rich people like our neighbors in the North(Kenya),very few families own the entire Kenya , For foreigners you need to have a business , your business Registered in Tanzania will own the land , and you will own the business , you will be given 33 years or 66 years or 99 years lease, you will pay taxes on your land, just like in America or Kenya.

exactly. a thing I see sometimes is AA go to Africa and start out with the opportunities in abundance. very true! then they become successful and or gain attention and the govt comes for them and they get nervous. Although I do understand many or all govt can be currrupt and demand things with no promises that the demands will stop. and thats a problem! Also though, we get used to making money tax free! and want to keep it that way. but your country of choice is a country that needs money to be that way! and they arent even 5% as wealthy as the US or UK. Think about how much money you have made in that country.. then 8k as your taxes... 8k a year is FAR FAR better than 40% of your money off top like here in the US. Get a lawyer, talk it out with them. keep your reciepts and pay the dang money! Many people started out in TZ getting a student visa, not even going to school. thats fraud! and they know but are counting on nobody checking. so first entering the country you supposedly love, you cheat to even get an immigration status? Not saying this is what this family have done. just saying to those who have. having peace is doing what is right from jump! give unto ceasar what is cesar. not enjoy what ceasar provides and take all you can. then get mad when govt wants their cut.

In Europe, restricted jus soli countries have stricter policies, though it’s still possible to obtain citizenship. In much of post-colonial Africa, there is a cautious approach to granting rights to foreigners. This is evident in land ownership policies, where many countries only allow leasehold, often for up to 99 years, following the British common law system. In Ethiopia, my parents' home country, foreigners cannot even hold leasehold. The African Union and its member states should consider long-term strategies and establish clear visions for citizenship, land ownership, and permanent residency, especially for the African diaspora, (African Americans, African diaspora, Caribbeans, and other people of African Descent)

If you think America is bad, try Africa. As I've said before, the only country in Africa where someone from the Western world can live comfortably is South Africa, which has infrastructure comparable to the West. Living in any other African country is just enduring unnecessary hardship. While the cost of living in South Africa is higher than in other African nations, the problems mentioned in this video are not as widespread. However, no African country is free from these issues-they're just more pervasive in some than others. Ignore the xenophobia claims about South Africa; no other country in the world would tolerate the behaviors foreigners are engaging in there.

I'm really curious to find out more from you as to what specifically has led you to the conclusion that Tanzanian's as a society do not like black Americans because as a Tanzanian I can assure you that you are absolutely wrong. I'm pretty certain that the Tanzanian society and for that matter all black African societies in the countries south of the Sahara desert regard black Americans as our long lost cousins and we feel really happy when we see you coming back to the continent that your ancestors walked on and lived in alongside our ancestors. Now are there individual Tanzanian's who might not like you as a individual? Sure. Just as I'm pretty sure there are individual black Americans in the US or for that matter even other individual black Americans in Tanzania itself who might not like you as an individual. Although I don't know anything about your experience in Tanzania one general thing I can also say is that there are certain mannerisms that are considered normal in the USA but which are sometimes disliked in Tanzania so while I'm not saying it applies to you its also possible you might have been unknowingly rubbing some people the wrong way if you ended up feeling like people didn't like you especially if you unknowingly made them feel patronized. Also you need to remember that whenever you meet a random person in Tanzania more often than not they will have zero clue about the challenges that black Americans face in the USA. They are far more likely to believe that black Americans are living the American dream as its portrayed in the media or even in the rap/hip hop/rnb music videos which might make them try to overcharge you for certain goods or services but when this happens it is purely because of economic reason not because of hate.

Seek out the places where you receive the best treatment. Numerous countries are available, and it is essential to move when your current situation is no longer advantageous or when superior opportunities arise elsewhere. A significant issue faced by numerous African nations is their adherence to communism and socialism, which results in increased state control. This situation complicates economic operations, prompting many individuals to engage in the black market. The issues of excessive regulation, superfluous procedures, protectionist policies, and corruption undermine business autonomy, leading individuals to refrain from investing in the nation.
