I thought Myers work in 54 was great! I thought he played that part amazingly well. Loved the first Austin Powers. I've never been big on sequels and AP2 and 3 just re-hashed the same old jokes but the characters he created and played were great. The love guru was actually a really good movie. Try watching it with no expectations. Most movies that are actually really good, are movies that you don't expect to be a certain way. Its why some people didn't like suicide squad or dawn of justice league. They expected a fast-paced hero movie like what marvel releases; instead they got a gritty drama filled movie with a lot of introduction and build-up with not as much action. Thus is the way with all movies. Hollywood isn't ruining movies. The expectations snd pompous attitudes of the viewers are ruining movies. Its like with hard video games, if you don't like a game cuz its hard or something, don't blame the game. Blame the player.

an ex-girlfriend and her girlfriend attended a pre-Oscar eve party once and they witnessed Myers' condescendingly, rude behavior to a TV star (let's say the TV star was on the A list when his show was atop the ratings) from a few yards away. you can believe it or not but whenever i hear negative stories about Myers, i think back to this incident and go, "riiiiiight! why am i not surprised?"

What i liked about Mike Meyers is that his comedy wasn't political. I am not looking forward to a Wayne's World 3 because look at Bill & Ted 3, WW3 would have to be written VERY carefully not to bomb. And yes, i agree, SNL hasn't been the same without him. SNL is now a political sniping platform and i think for THAt very reason, he wouldn't go back if he was offered large sums of money. And the Love Guru wasn't his only bomb but he's had more hits than bombs so that's a good score count. But, being his age, trying to be the same kind of actor he was before would seem more like Jackass. I don't think he's coming back and, if he does and it bombs, he will be gone for good other than voice-overs.

Love Mike Myers he is awesome, I met him in person in Toronto during the Leafs game and when me and my wife came to him to ask for autograph he was very pleasant to talk to as well he even asked how me and my wife were doing which I found it very nice of him to hear it from a Star Actor of his caliber! I'm sure he will be back as he is plain AWESOME!
