It gets even funnier when you realise this happens in real life games too. The amount of Kiritos I've seen in MMOs is crazy. Namely Mabinogi, as it was the closest game to SAO in its hightime; and even had one or two SAO crossover events so you could literally just parade as Kirito, dual wielding the exact swords and black cloak.

@@yetiornot5726 I think the other bugs were due to the nerve gear. He never upgraded to the amusphere and all of his data including yui was contained in it. So when the game tried to original code all the items had been changed save for things that were core to the game play. Eg the cardinal system since it was core to the game. And the profile data. All the items and skills had been changed for the new game. Like a new skin on cod even if the engine is the same.

I think I have a theory why Sugu hates Kazuto in the abridged version. It could be possible she felt neglected by her parents when Kazuto's parents were killed. His aunt and uncle must've given him attention and affection and tons of it when he lost his parents while Sugu received little to none and became bitter to her brother and could have put up with some issue with her grandfather like in the anime. And her crush on Reckon, she must be scared to approach those feelings since she felt rejected or isolated. Reckon genuinely likes her and cares about her but she doesn't know to deal with that since she knows solitude so she lashed out at him and her brother as means to cope and suppress those feelings. It's very sad when you think about it...

8:45 You ask 'how', in canon Kirito shut himself away in his room after the death of his parents, he refused to speak to his sister or even open the door, he won money to pay for his stuff through gaming tournaments, which is also how he got a beta spot for SAO. Bsacially he abandoned a 13 yo girl when she needed him the most, then a while later, he gets trapped in SAO, disapears for 2 years, has to be cared for while in a coma, and comes back acting like nothing happened while prioritising Asuna over his own family. Simply put, Kirito is an ass.

TBF, their grandfather had pushed Kirito to try and take over their Kendo legacy but since Kirito found out about him being adopted and the death of his real parents, he became a NEET which infuriated their grandfather. Suguha then tried to step-up and become his shield by being the heir, but since she also found out that they aren't actual siblings she started to feel something else for Kazuto which ended up in her trying to deny those feelings as it isn't proper and started to also get pushed away by the depressed Kazuto.

So I'm pretty sure originally Kirito just bought off both army's. He had all his money from SAO and didn't need it after he got his new outfit and sword. So he just gave it to them. Also Asuna couldn't escape because if she tried looking at the dude when he was putting in the code to leave the cage it would be all fuzzy to the point see can't read it. She got past that by looking in the reflection of her bed and was able to see it.
