The pitbull rear spool and front stand is extremely veristal. I got to meet the Founder at the NYC IMS at the Javist Center few years ago. In Any case the idea with PitBull is you pay upfront. Yet after that initial investment. You have the latter of options to adapt add attachments to these stands. Rather then buy 5-8 different Stands. You know have two stand that can do the Job of 4-10 or even more Stands. All because you can change the attachments. My front Stand is actually a Hybrid head lift. So it acts as a front fork and head stand. The Fork portion of this stand IS NOT garbage. The serious treatment to a stand is how good is the fork portion. In any case certain jobs are easier to do with a fork stand. Applaud you for finding a cheap durable set. I must say if you needed more now you will end up spending more long term. Did I mention there's a special tire stand that works on the front and rear PitBull stands that raises and lowers the wheels into place during installation and removal. It Makes life So much easier....ESPECIALLY when it comes time to thread the front and pain in the but Rear Axel.

I bought a relatively inexpensive Venom pin lift and for my MT-10/R1 it works PERFECT utra stable etc. (looks identical to me? like $90 free delivery with my Prime lol) For my Yamaha Tracer9gt it did not work as it was too tall....I simply used two pieces of 1x8 on either side it worked perfect The Venom stand comes with an assortment of pins but I had to make a sleeve out of an old socket for the Tracer.....cause I was to cheap to buy the other assortment when I just needed one more size

Had a tripletree stand that collapses with the minest of wiggle of the bike. Tossed it... Bought a "moto gp" set, you know, those cheap ones with Skatewheels. Well, other than not being able to remove the forks, they serve well for already 8 years. Would be awesome if the were available as a pin version for the front, but they work...

More useful tips, thanks.I don't know if you remember me from a couple months ago. I'm the girl that just started riding and got the Ninja 300 on your recommendation of beginner bikes. I'd like to ask, I'm finding that some traffic lights in my town will Never turn green for me. Could you make a video on this and what you recommend. At first I just waited for a car to drive up, but it can take 5 to 10 minutes sometimes. Do I just run it? I'd love some tips, CycleCruza! Thanks!
@bleh83107 жыл бұрын
Feyawen look up your state and city laws. Where I live you're allowed to go through a red light after waiting 3 minutes and if you give all other traffic the right of way. The DMV and your local MSF course should know too.

Fit strong magnets to the bottom of your bike
@xterrential7 жыл бұрын
Feyawen put a 1" rare earth (it must be rare earth) magnet on the bottom of the frame. The sensors at traffic lights pick up electro-magnetic waves not the weight of the vehicle. A large rare earth magnet will make the sensor think you are an 18 wheeler.
@jonesygamingproductions65907 жыл бұрын
In my state all you have to do is wait through one full cycle of the lights changing. If it doesn't give you a green then go ahead when you can.

Have you tried backingup some while turning left...and then going back forward the same distance at an angle to help the metal sensors underthe road at the line " catch" a wiff of your bike? Sometimes that works for me in MS. Cheers

head lift stand is wayyyy sturdier.. I change my front wheel like a boss with this HL stand and sit on the bike with zero issues.
@rubberskilla29917 жыл бұрын
CycleCruza only way it would be more stable was if you had cheap stands...the headlift has a centerpoint which the front rest in. Which is sturdy, but compared to using forklift stand(Pitbull), with two outer points to grab the forks, its not even close. I get my bike setup on my Pit Bull stands and practice hanging off cornering techniques for track days on them with no worries. And the handle is removable so it barely takes up more space then the bike already does

I got a Pair of stands off ebay for £35 for a pair they hold under the swing arm and forks like your old ones, my 1986 NC21 VFR400 (about 370-380ibs dry) has been on them for a month, no issues, they sturdy as shit and I have sat on the bike while using them and had the bike running through gears, you cant really go wrong with a motorcycle stand but some of them might rub on the exhaust n stuff depending on the bike you have, obviously don't go for something that has bad reviews or known issues, but the ones I got have not given me a single issue even with me dragging the bike backwards on the stands. Just research before you buy, and obviously don't put a very heavy bike on a cheap stand.

I saw that video too, of the dude who clearly works out a lot grunting loudly and ripping the cheap stand apart. I wanna see a skinny arm dude rip the bike stand apart, then I'd be more convinced they suck. I currently have the same stands CC is using here. I've also had them for years now with no problems. Although, if I was putting my bike on stands and then lifting it further up on a table as seen in this video I might just go for the high end stands to be extra safe.

Venom and HF stands are fine unless maybe you’re gonna do jumping jacks on your bike while it’s lifted. And even under that strain I’m sure these would still hold up. Otherwise, you’re just paying for the name of the brands you tell us to buy. If it makes you feel better to waste money on a certain sticker, hop to it. ✌🏻

You tell people to buy good stands and your bike sitting on the side of garbage Stands? Is this kind of a do as I say not as I do. You are correct about the pitbull and Wood crest they are the best stance and made an America the pitbull stands are guaranteed for life. And you will not break them and the bike will not fall off Of them . I just look at it like this $27,000 for my R1M. Before modifications. The cost of the pit bull stands it’s just a drop in the bucket.
