In the similar way the high packages that are offered in IiTs are either foreign package or the CTC s are inflated by adding the joining bonus and stock options( to be vested in 4 years most of the chunk in last 2 years). So the CTC of 25lakh in first year remains just 16-17l next year in most of the companies

@@SANDEEPKUMAR-gd1zr dude even finding job after btech isn't that easy I've seen my friends struggling to pay back their education loan, and yes it is that easy not a rocket science it does take some time though but it is only in few months, especially if your pharmacy is located near any hospital, the only major expense you will be incuring is rent for the space, electricity and employees in that pharmacy, bit you wouldn't be slave to your boss. See you people will find difficulties in every situation but believe me a good pharmacy shop owners earns far more than those btech and mba. You won't trust me because you people are brainwashed to sheep mentality, go to the college take loan then pay your working in a mediocre company once that's paid switch to another and switch to another. Also not all the IIM and IIT graduates end up doing well. Dude a business setup of your own is far better than anything else in this world, my uncle is a distributor of medicine and he runs a shop in medicine market and he earns more than graduates from these so called universities, now his setup is well established and his kids manages everything.

He easily earns 3-5 lakh per month and during corona even double which is i think graduates can't earn even in a year. (He is my father's good friend that's why he gave an idea about his earning). And in mnc's and many other companies there are now lot of work load and pressure and lot of working hours if we put the same efforts on our own business then I believe sky is the limit.....

Considering Year 1/2/3/4 bonuses as a part of first year's CTC is somewhat unfair. Ideally, CTC for the first year should only include the payments to be made during the first year. However, some people might have a different opinion.

The company never mentions that it is your annual CTC. It is CTC, i.e, Cost to Company which is actually true that they will have to shell out this much amount on you. So its okay to infalte the CTC in such a way that everyone is happy

Often companies add the pro-rata rent on the allocated room and other /perks/gratituty, utilities to arrive at CTC . Basic salary is kept low so that the Employer PF contribution is low besides lowering the EL , Gratuty payoffs . Take home salary net of taxes should be the criteria rather than CTC which is dicey.

Wonderful video.All points are true except the comparison which you have made for a person getting 80 lakh iNR package in Nigeria is equal to life style of person earning 19lakh.I have lived in NIgeria and with 1 lakh rs monthly expense you can live a levish life with 2 maid and 1 driver available for the 24hrs ,3 bhk 2200 sq ft luxury appartment with power back up and everything.Plus no tax like 30% in india.Minimum saving potiential is of 60 lakh /year.

As an IIT BHU alumnus, I can assure that the companies did state the CTC and base pay as well as detailed salary structure during the placements. Ig all the other Tier 1 institutes do the same. Also, a lot of firms do have CTC close to in-hand salary. For example AQR Capital had a CTC of 32 lakh and in hand salary of 28 lakhs. Besides that, for a quick comparison, let's assume a situation where a candidate has to choose between two firms with similar job profiles: Company 1: 32 lakh CTC, 18 lakh in-hand salary Company 2: 25 lakh CTC, 20 lakh in-hand salary Ig the candidate would instinctively take Company 1 offer which is indeed the wise choice as with 14 lakh variables, he can easily liquidate more than 2 lakhs. *"Bhai faltu dimag mat lagao just look at the figures, agar performance bekar bhi rha toh bonus me se maximum 5 lakh jyega, baki 9 lakh me se kuch toh milega na?"* Companies are not scamming graduates by showing attractive CTCs, but instead giving them opportunities to perform better. I know a lot of grads who earn the entire CTC. But they do have to pay the taxes as do most of people in entire world.

IIM A had started the practice to audit the salaries and if you visit our placement reports. They correctly differentiate between fixed and variable component and correct (based on my experience). Also there is one of my colleague who got a 90 lakh package in India from PE firm right out of college. Though it was an off campus offer.

Have been telling these facts to my parents and brother for years. It is simple that everything comes with some terms and conditions.you need to understand this simple Truth. I am a simple school teacher in a government school earning a modest salary of 4 lakh CTC. Most of my father's colleagues' children are management professionals and often my father thinks that I earn less as I only earn 4 lakh CTC. One can only reach 40 lakh INR CTC after at least 10 years of career.

That’s correct. I have same CTC, I get 1.8 and than tax 30k+ PF 16k so in hand is 1.40lakh approx. I pay almost 5 lakh rupees as tax. Than you have equity and yearly bonus. Which is not guaranteed . I got same package for Dubai which I am getting in India, but I denied, I guess that was a mistake.

It's not at all a great start.....32 lakh ctc means the student is at IIM A/B/C which is too tough to get. Into...and there too... more than 30 lakhs is offered to only 10% of the batch....if you calculate it with others....then it's better to go for Rbi grade b or Sbi po..... it's so much better financially....You don't have to pay 25 lakh fees .....and Rbi grade be starting Salary is more than 1 lakh a month .....and that too it's government job....so you know how precious it is ........only 0.1% of the students get into IIM A/B/C........just imagine if the best institute in India is providing such a low in hand Salary to the best students.... then what is the scenario at new iims,tier 2 or tier 3 mba colleges..... What's thier in hand Salary?..10000-15000 a month?...a bcom graduate earns more

After a work experience of over 10 year's I can tell you that a degree from great college and good marks only get you off to a good start but after that only your quality of work takes you places. CTCs are very misleading and from psychological perspective believe me there's nothing much different between lifestyle of a person earning 15 l CTC and those earning way above that. Yes, one definite difference is the ease of getting a home loan and a bigger house. But quality of life is more or less the same.
