I'm auditioning for Aladdin on Broadway and I'm bringing you with me! I've been a professional dancer for over 10 years and making this vlog style video was so much fun. Hope you enjoy! :)

I'm a college junior studying theatre in Portland right now, & your videos are lovely & so insightful! Cheering for you to book Aladdin! I'd love to hear you talk about what it's like auditioning for Broadway shows, how to sign up for professional auditions, the differences between union and non-union actors & how that affects what you're paid/how you're treated, & anything else you're comfortable sharing. Where do you hear about auditions? How do you get an agent? How do you break into the industry? How do you deal with scheduling conflicts if you book two different shows that overlap? How do contracts work for performers? What's the etiquette for doing shows professionally in comparison to high school and college theatre? I'd be interested in all your thoughts :)

That was so interesting! Do you think it's possible to start working in this industry without a college education in dance or vocals?

I definitely do! It helps to have some training because it’s more about knowing the business but you don’t need a degree. If they like you they like you! I don’t know if I’ve ever gotten a job based on my college lol

Hiii! I live in Jersey currently too! I think I want to go to school for musical theater to hone in on my skills. Do you know how I would go about auditioning nonunion? I currently have a degree in something else… is having a full time job and auditioning feasible?

I would start looking for auditions on playbill.com and sort by non union! Auditions happen during the day so you might have to take off work if you work in person!
