So many familiar faces in this video. I laughed when that guy said people are too polite while driving here😂 It’s true though also because this is in North Carolina, if he goes to New York or other big cities, he will run into the same issue as in Shanghai 😂

I’d imagine language is the biggest challenge. Let’s assume you get through it after some time, the next challenge is making connections to the local community. You will meet a lot of friendly people, but it’s rare to form close friendship with the locals. I see almost always, Chinese immigrants hang out with other Chinese immigrants. Some 2nd generation Chinese Americans struggle with it too. By 3rd generation, it’s when the family is fully integrated. It’s my observation and opinion of course.

My daughter wants to go back to China. She taught English for 15 mos & loved it but got homesick. Now she wants to go back. She was in Beijing but would like to go to the Shanghai area. Any advice?
