I remember an organization lady said "Imagine that every single thing in your house has a voice and it's speaking to you. What is that object saying? The dishes are yelling "Wash me!" The laundry is yelling "Fold me!" The dogs are saying "Feed me! Walk me!" The floors yell "Sweep me!" Old stuff yells "Donate me!" and all of that is chaotic noise in your brain subconsciously. It leads to anxiety, stress, discouraging feelings. Every time you tackle a task, it's like pacifying a baby. The voices go silent and you find peace. Sometimes with kids, they don't hear those voices of responsibility. The dishes don't yell "Wash me" to them. The dishes say "Don't worry, Mom will wash us" And that's really not fair. Cleaning up is a way of showing respect to your future self. If tonight you cleans up before bed, then morning you is in such a better mindset waking up to a clean space and enjoying coffee looking forward to a new day." It helps me :)

Seeing the kitchen like it was, is NOT OK. To me it Clearly says "we are allowed to take advantage of our loving mom. Jenn, If the kids want to be a part of a family, that INCLUDES being a part of all family matters. SO, YÒU ARE GOING TO START BEING TEAM CLEAN UP. SET YOUR BOUNDRIES JENN, YOU ARE ENTITLED, AND DESERVE TELLING YOUR KIDS WHAT WILL NOW BE THE FIRM RULE. ❤❤

The mess is clearly a symptom of some sort of reinforced bad behavior.. Regardless of who made it, they have done it before and know it is somewhat accepted by others they live with.. The size of the living area has little to do with repeating learned behavior…

Lol that's why skirting is important and I hope your hydrant that did not have heat tape didn't freeze and break. My 4th year in an RV in Pagosa. 20s here all day and my water is running. Snowing too.

I do that with laundry all the time, and by the time I put it away, the other baskets are full with dirty laundry again. It's a never-ending story, ha ha xxx
