The problem with women’s sports isn’t men, it’s that women would rather follow and watch reality tv than sport. Some things sell better than others to men and women, sports for women just isn’t as popular as for example reality tv or the make up/fashion industry

I don't have a problem with women complaining that they don't get paid enough in sports. The problem I have is that we're being told that it's the fault of the viewers who just simply don't want to watch them. That is the equivalent of a musician, booking out a venue, asking the venue to sell the tickets, finding out nobody turns up, and getting angry that nobody wanted to watch you perform. Ronda Rousey herself got asked this question and shut it down because she was being paid more than the men on the exact same card. She recognised it was because she was entertaining and people wanted to watch her.

I think the main reason there is so many complaints about women in mens football is because this is all they go on about. Yes, the men and women kick a ball around for a living, does not mean its the same game. The women need to build the profile of womens football, bring in the fans which will bring in sponsors which will being in more money.
@Kiluei4 күн бұрын
Women in sports broadcasting should obviously have equal pay. A female presenter should get the same salary as a male presenter. There's no difference there. They do exactly the same job. But when its about sports it's different. Female footballers for example play in an industry that doesn't make as much money as the male football industry. It would be an outrage if a female CEO at a bank for example got less money than a male CEO at the same bank. But the striker of Women's Liverpool making far less than Darwin Nunez or Jota, is completely logical.

I agree with equal pay. The MEN should get paid the same as the WOMEN, that should solve the issue.
@Danny_kay4 күн бұрын
Well its not a issue, If men generate more money therefore they get more it really is that simple if women was generating the same amount of money then women will obviously get paid the same. Men shouldn't get paid less to keep women happy if women want more then generate more, And all this just to be equal therefore it can't be equal since women aren't generating equal amount of money to the men.

Equal pay for presenters, yes coz ypu are doing the same job but not equal pay for athletes as the money involved in mes far outweighs womens so thats why they're a discrepency. You cant say you want to prove how good womens football is for example but then ride off the success of the mens game with your pay. You want the money before the success so then really, is it only money that matters?

Equal pay should be based on commercial value alone. So if womens football gets Accrington Stanley value that is what they get paid. If like the USA Women's football squad held a greater commercial value than the men's. Yes, they should be higher in value. As they weren't it was a travesty in pay equality.
