This video is so formative, as someone who would love to come to Thailand and work, this is really helpful.

So...I'm thinking about work in Thailand. Now I don't know it that possible or not. The best will be work in my profession. I'm high experience medicine doctor, one of the best in aesthetic medicine in Poland so the best choice should be work at the Clinic or Hospital. If not...maybe start work in touristic sector?
@VictoriaReign Жыл бұрын
I don't think it is impossible, it may be difficult to find such a position while you're in Poland, but it may be easier once you're in Thailand. There are many international clinics and hospitals here for tourists so having a native speaker of a European language will probably be a benefit. It will probably be easier to find a tourist related or teaching related job, but I am a strong believer in if something is meant to be, it will happen so don't give up on a medicine job here either!

Lots of sick leave but usually not a lot of vacation?
@VictoriaReign Жыл бұрын
Yes, I forgot to mention this point! Annual leave was a shock to the system as a Brit, it ranges from 8-14 days a year depending on company and seniority.

what work are you doing? And how did you get it?

I used JobsDB to find jobs/companies I liked and then did the very old fashion thing of emailing the HR team of companies I liked with my cv and cover letter and hoped they had an opening. I have a corporate job.

How much money u make per month there

Not sure if it’s a cultural difference, but generally people from the UK find it inappropriate or even impolite to ask someone how much they earn.

Culturally we don't speak directly about income, but generally expats will earn higher salaries here, it is going to usually be a lot less than in Western countries. However, the cost of living is very cheap here when compared to, for example, London.

in thailand its normal to ask salary. I guess victoria is paid around 18-22k baht per month

Queen, it is worse in America ,when it comes to sick leave, Also, it just seems like the Asian culture minus a few countries are just nicer people but I do find the Buddhist driven culture, people much more nicer. I hope and pray I will back in Thailand by this time 2024 or sooner lol

Oh I have heard some horror stories about sick leave in America! I agree that on average people feel much friendlier which is fabulous. Hopefully you can come back soon!
