Can you imagine a team up between Kratos & Týr? Think about it: the pantheons of other lands have learnt about the destruction of Olympus & Asgard. Týr has been absent from the scene for centuries so there was no one to keep the peace (if that’s what he was doing). They’re afraid that they’re next on the chopping block, so they strike first. Egyptian gods attack the Norse Realm. Naturally, Kratos defends his new domain and people, but what if Atreus was in the River Empire looking for the lost Jötnar? So he decides to set sail in search of his son. Týr knows the lands so he volunteers to go with him, and Mimir hangs with the war god duo. In a better version of Ragnarök’s Atreus sections, you can switch between Kratos and Týr. With the Egyptian hieroglyphs on his arm, it’s not a stretch for him to understand the language. He could be our new translator and travelling companion.

Man I have to tell you, I had an ideantical Idea about What next Kratos journey could be. I also had a crazy Idea to make come back Odin since his soul may still exist, perhaps in the body of Hugin who we know survived Ragnarök. If he isn't dead, Kratos and Tyr make a truce with him, asking him to help them defending the realms in exchange for bringing him back to life and finding another way to reach the supreme knowledge together, which would help them greatly in battle (Odin would probably accept. He never wanted to fight Kratos or anyone else, he was simply obsessed with the ultimate knowledge of whether it was possible to avoid the death that was prophesied to him, and what lies beyond it for the gods) . So Odin, Kratos and Tyr face the Egyptian gods to defend the remaining 8 realms and in the meantime Kratos also tries to help Atreus who is a prisoner of Ra

As someone may have mentioned in the comments, having boi act as some kind of damsel in distress would undermine the ending of his arc in Ragnarok. Imo he has to learn to fix his s*** without his father’s help if he ever wants to grow out of his shadow. Plus I believe in the next installment, Atreus will be way older and wiser. My take is that Kratos will act more akin to Týr and eventually try to forge alliances with other pantheons, maybe by helping them with their war related issues (eg: the war against Set).

The biggest problem with predicting the story is that Santa Monica doesn't want to just deliver a good game, they also want to deliver a good story. A story that is meaningfull to the fans of the series and for the characters that are in that story. Something that pushes the characters forward and makes them evolve. The problem is, how do you evolve Kratos further? In my opinion, despite being a huge God of War fan, I think the story of Kratos kind of ended. He got the end that he deserves, he has changed, raised a good son, found peace and became a GOOD God. Something that he believed didnt exist his entire life before Ragnarok. I believe that IF we are getting an Egypt game, its gonna be the "atreus spinoff", and not something centered around Kratos. Sure, he will appear in the game, but probably not even as a playable character.

Isis is connected with Aphrodite who we know survived the events of GOW-3. Given that Isis is associated with resurrection, she could use Sindri as a pawn with the promise of restoring Brok. This could open up several story possibilities if this was the case.
@bradleyadams52525 күн бұрын
@@theifkitsune Hear me out for the resurrection thing: Sindri hears rumors that Anubis, the god of the scales, has created an afterlife specifically for incomplete souls like Brok, due to him wanting all souls to face some kind of judgement rather than just fading into nothing. Sindri and Atreus travel to said afterlife and encounter not only Brok but Odin, who is suffering eternal punishment for...just everything.
@theifkitsune5 күн бұрын
@@bradleyadams5252 It’s is definitely an idea. It could be possible that all the ‘Realms of the Dead’ are connected in some manner. Mimir is GOW-4 says to Kratos that should never venture to a part of Helhiem, directly following a manifestation of ‘Zeus’ in the clouds in that direction. So it would not surprise me if there are areas where these realms merge. We still don’t fully understand what happens to the souls that become a part ‘The Light of Alfhiem’ nor have we seen ‘The Halls of Valhalla’. We know very little in regard to death in the Norse Saga of GOW, when compared to the Greek. With Egyptian Mythology it is shares the concept the that soul is made of four parts like the Norse, but their Judgement is closer to the Greek as you have to prove the type of person were. This is done through the scale that you mentioned before, where your ‘heart’ is weighed against the feather of the Goddess Ma’at. If your heart is lighter than the feather you can move on the afterlife, but if not your heart becomes dinner for a creature known as Ammit. I can’t see Odin or Zeus making through this without being monster chow. With Brok, however I would say that he could pass. He is crude and often inappropriate, but he does have a good heart and was willing to venture into Helhiem to aid Kratos in obtaining a cure for Atreus. When Brok discovered Sindri’s secret, he didn’t hold it against his brother after the shock and anger quickly wore off. Instead in the end, he told Sindri that he forgave him. I would like to believe that if Brok was put through ‘The Weighing of Ma’at’ that he would pass. Sorry the long comment.

I personally feel like they should recycle the original God of War 3 invasion plot, but make it more concise to the Egyptian pantheon wanting to conquer the Norse realms. It'd be a good time to do so, given there is now a power vacuum with the destruction of Asgard, the former major seat of power. It would also make sense thematically, at this point. You have the Greek arc (losing home, family and self), the Norse arc (finding home, family and self). Logically the next step would be protecting that newfound home, family and purpose in the face of a force which could be not unlike how Kratos was acting in the Greek arc.

This is my pitch for the next game: The story picks up 3 years after Valhalla, and the 8 Realms live in relative peace. The remaining Aesir live amongst the Vaneir, with the Aesir being lead by Lady Sif and the Vaneir being lead Freya. The realms aren’t as chaotic they used to be, with the Shield Maidens being able to handle most of the squabbling. The leadership of the 8 Realms have formed a pretty strong alliance, but there is still a massive power vacuum left by Odin. They’re trying their best, but after living so long under an iron fist the future is up in the air. As for Kratos, he’s semi retired, only taking up arms when called upon by the people. Other than that, he has a farm that he uses to supply food to the settlements throughout Midgard. All of this would change when something strange happens to Mimir, his head begins to decay and lose conscience. Kratos travels to Freya house to ask for assistance but she later concludes her magic is fading and the only way to bring him back is with materials from his homeland. Having no choice, Kratos sails west to Scotland. Upon arrival, Kratos travels to a small village where he meets a Druid. The druid explains to him that in order to bring Puck back to life, he would have to travel to a realm name Avalon(land of the fairies). He later offers a sword to Kratos saying that this can help him on his journey but Kratos declines saying his axe and spear is more than enough, The druid goes more into his background saying that he was the one who made the weapon Gae Bulg( a spear of Cu Chulainn) and to come back to him anytime in case he changes his mind. Later the druid makes a portal for Kratos to Avalon and he starts his journey. Any thoughts?

This is my pitch for the next game: the game starts a few years after the end of of Valhalla Atreus is wondering the earth looking for his giant peers in a sandy desert when he hears a flute playing in the distance with a song that he never heard before but strangely familiar as he gets closer to the source of sound he finds a woman sitting by an oasis playing her flute peacefully he talks to her and she greets him with a warm smile and says to him that he looks familiar to her then he presents himself as Atreus the son of Kratos of Sparta The God of Hope the woman's face twists with anger and says that it is impossible for that beast to become that Atreus is puzzeled and asks why would she say such a horrible thing and that his father is not as bad as she thinks and she just frowns and asks him what is he doing is such a far away land and he tells her he's looking for his people "The Giants" and she tells him that there are a few living in Egypt in the realm of the gods and proposes to guide him there. As they get there they get ambushed and Atreus is captured, turns out the woman is a goddess that is works with the Egyptian pantheon and she plans to use him as bait to lure out Kratos and have her revenge. Now we switch to Kratos in midgard helping around the humans and gods, when he gets to the palace he is greeted by a shaken up Freya who tells him that Atreus has been captured by the egyptians and that they want him to go there alone to "Face the sins of his past" in a letter that is acompanied by a flute. Kratos falls to his knee's wispering "...impossible..." Freya is freaked out and asks him what this means and he tells he has to go there RIGHT NOW and he sails on his journey to Egypt to save his son and kill the imposter who is pretending to be his dead daughter Calliope. The gods involved should be the ones that tyr's weapons represented.

Here’s my take: God of War series is split into sagas, and each one has its own mythology and character arc for Kratos. The Greek saga was about his betrayal and revenge, the Norse saga was about a father and son and Kratos’ redemption, and the Egyptian saga (or whatever mythology they go with next) will probably be something completely different. I remember seeing a behind-the-scenes interview for Ragnarok, and they explained why the Norse saga was only two games. They didn’t want to drag the story out too long. It’s a story about a father and son, and adding more games would’ve made it feel stretched and tiresome. It told everything it needed to tell: Kratos finds his own path, and Atreus finds his own. The next game should not be about Kratos and Atreus teaming up again. That would probably ruin the ending of Ragnarok, where Atreus becomes independent and starts his journey with Angrboda. Making Atreus a damsel in distress would also be a terrible idea. Instead, Kratos should continue the God of War series, and Atreus should get his own game (let’s call it God of Mischief) If they go with an Egyptian saga, it should be about Kratos either making peace with other pantheons or getting attacked by another pantheon and has to protect Norse or another god wants his help or something like that. This arc of the characters should represent Kratos the leader of the god of hope. Why people love him and trust him with all of their hart and the responsibilities that comes with this task. As for Atreus, well.... Here's the thing: They should do what Kojima did with Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear Raising. Raiden was hated in MGS2, but in MGS4 and Metal Gear Rising, they turned him into one of the coolest characters in the series. I think the main reasons Atreus gets hate are: 1. He’s a teenager, and let’s be honest, a lot of people find teenagers annoying. 2.He doesn’t have the same depth or "cool factor" as Kratos. Kratos is badass. He’s stoic, flawed, wise, and we’ve seen his full journey across eight games. We saw his best and worst moments. Atreus, on the other hand, has only been in two games so far (God of War 2018 and Ragnarok), and his development hasn’t had time to reach the same level. Plus, he’s just a kid right now. The solution isn’t to make Atreus a "Kratos 2.0," but to let him grow into his own character. Give him his own tragedies, his own journey, and his own "cool factor." Let him be complex and flawed in his own way, and turn him into a character people actually want to root for.

Personally, I think an Egyptian game could begin fairly innocuously, with Kratos going on a diplomatic mission to Egypt as the Eight Realms' God of War, either to ask them for help rebuilding the Eight Realms in the wake of Ragnarok upon encountering significant difficulties or to rehabilitate the Realms' image in the eyes of foreign lands after the end of Odin's reign of tyranny. Kratos and Mimir find a thriving civilization, impossibly ancient even by the reckoning of these long-lived men. It is a land of many, many gods indeed, to the point that gods and humans freely interact under the watchful eyes of the divine Pharaoh. In these early stages I can imagine the combat and puzzles largely comes from trials Kratos has to go through, to test his strength and wits, see how they measure up to his predecessor Týr's. Naturally, he passes with flying colors, his past as the Ghost of Sparta and what he did to the Olympians not being seen as monstrous, as it gave the Egyptian pantheons plenty of room to expand their own powers. Besides, that was so long ago, and the last time Kratos was in Egypt he helped put down some chaos beasts, and Thoth may or may not have put in a good word for him along the way... However, not is all as it seems. A rebellion is brewing just under the surface, with some mortals and lesser gods not wanting to remain under Re's rule, possibly influenced or aided by Set, who allows them to reside in his desert where the other gods can't reach them as well (inspired by the Book of the Heavenly Cow, where human rebels hide out in the desert). This rebellion could also be aided by gods from the northern Mediterranean-Greek, Minoan, Roman and Etruscan, etc.-and their mortal followers, who fled in the wake of Kratos's actions in Greece, which destabilized the region and forced them to find a new home. That was centuries ago now, but the wounds of the battles fought when the refugees arrived (echoing Egypt's battles with the "Sea Peoples" during the Late Bronze Age Collapse) would still feel fresh to the fleeing gods who feel they ought to be in charge, being marginalized by the native deities. And would you look at that, the man who forced them all to flee their homelands and endure so much hardship has just arrived and is schmoozing with the ruling gods and elite mortals. That might just spur some factions of this rebellion to act sooner than the others would prefer. Chaos ensues, and Kratos now has a sizeable target on his back.

I think the war between the egyptian gods will be the main event of the next set of games. Atreus will get wrapped up in it after traveling to egypt to find the lost giants. I think atreus will actually end up settling in egypt and will have been there for a while before the game kicks off. Hopefully he will be in early adulthood next time we see him. Jormungandr will take the place of apophis. Some of the egyptian gods will seek out kratos to help them with the war after hearing about greece and scandanavia. He will probably refuse, which is where atreus comes in. Either asking for kratos's help or being used as a lure to bring kratos over. It could be pretty interesting to see Kratos and Atreus on opposing sides of the conflict. Wouldnt be suprised if some greek gods return either, like athena, artemis and maybe apollo. Athena and the higher plane will probably be involved/paid off and something involving this could be a big enough deal to bring kratos out of retirement. I think this egyptian saga will end with a full reveal of the higher plane and an encounter or battle with the demiurge and we will even see the original planned ending with Kratos, Tyr and and egyptian god taking the place of the 3 wise men and the transition from paganism into the abrahamic religions. I always thought we'd get an atreus spin off, maybe miles morales style, with him traveling to a few different regions/pantheons before an egyptian trilogy as the series finale. This way we can see stuff like Japan, north America and celtic myth without them commiting entire trilogies or duologies to them. In my mind, the series needs to end soon. Maybe we'll get atreus games after egypt instead.

@@KaptainKuba Hmmm. Maybe they were ment to be scouts used by them. I’m not too familiar with the Egyptian Mythology but I am starting to learn about it. However the question is what new weapon or returning weapon we would see if he goes to Egypt. I mean if we don’t get the Blades of Chaos then we might be able to have something with lightning. Maybe we do get to wield Mhjolnir. Like the axe breaks or something. Whatever happens I want to see Kratos fucking team up with Apophis and beat the shit out of Rah or Seht.

Oh my God. I truly miss the days of theorizing. Also, what if the Egyptians sensed some kind of power vaccum in the Norse realm due to it missing four major figure heads (Baldur, Heimdal, Thor, and Odin) and they marched to fill the power vaccume which will force Kratos to truly act as the protector of the Norse realm along side Tŷr and Freya. This kinda goes in line with David Jaffe's old vision of how GoW 3 would've ended

It would be cool if at the end of the Egypt arc (if Egypt is next) Kratos spots a large group of people leaving Egypt and heading towards the red sea and Kratos desides to follow them. Then when the group gets to the red sea a man who seems to be the leader step forth and he stabs his walking stick into the water and the red sea splits in half so that there is a path to walk across.

I'd love if freya joins kratos and try is left to rule Norse pantheon as freya is the closest thing atreus has to a mother, it'd move the kratos freya dynamic (if that's even existant) forward and make for atreus actually having a 2nd family now.

Pretty good theory, and although I don’t quite like the "Atreus getting captured/into trouble for Kratos to venture out” part I can see it happening. As for how Atreus would get captured/into trouble, well here’s how I see it happening: We know he left to find the Giants who fled the Nine Realms. Perhaps Minions, followers, and Gods allied with Set(unable to free him themselves) foresaw they’d play a part in freeing Set so they captured some of them hoping one of them would do it for them. Though by the time Atreus reaches Egypt, Set’s Allies realize Atreus is the one they actually need and they use their Giant prisoners as bait to trick Atreus in freeing Set. Making him(and possibly Kratos later on.) think that it was Horus’s Faction who were responsible. Though after freeing Set Atreus would realize the truth too late and be imprisoned with his fellow Giants till Kratos shows up.

9:17 How do we all forget that Odyn's spirit isn't really dead because when Odin was beat and Atreus still tried to save him and Odin Said something that made Atreus say I really wish you didn't say that then he whispered that godly magic and put him into one of those Gaint marbles from Jhotenhiem and out of nowhere sindri comes in takes the marble that Odin spirit is in and smashes it with broks hammer (rest his soul) and in doing so he put his soul in the hammer kinda like when Angraboda noticed that there was a spirit in Atreus's knife

Personally, I would prefer the next god of war game to be an invasion story. Put Kratos in a position where he has to defend his new home, would be a good subversion of his conqueror where he was invading other lands

Will be cool if someone from the greek Pantheon is waiting Kratos is returne for vengeance. He was "hides" in the North, so someone like Artemis (remember she is the goddess of the hunt) can do something interesting in Egypt. (Also if you pick up the myth where the greek gods run in Egypt to Espace from typhon (Kratos in this case) can have sense).

While Atreus is SSM's backdoor key into any Mythology, Týr is also a good option for getting him into Egypt. Not only has Týr visited the region, but he may have gotten some big help from them, in way of regaining his lost arm. Which is suggested by the Hieroglyphs on the arm Mimir says he sacrificed to capture Garm. This means that Týr would be willing to go back, should someone come to ask him for help. And Kratos would be willing to assist, if he felt is was needed. Or, he could just use that as an excuse to go see Atreus.
@SELFTALKNEWS7 күн бұрын
There’s multiple theories I can think of that can bring Kratos to Egypt. There could be gods in Egypt that wants to disrupt the peace of kratos and freya. Maybe tyr goes off the rails after finding out more about kratos history and doesn’t want peace with kratos and freya alliances after finding out more about them. We know in the dlc tyr had a lot of weapons from Egypt. Remember tyr said he has to get back to Kratos on how he knows him. Another possibility to get Kratos to Egypt is tyr travels to Egypt to get something he forgot or wants to make peace with his past and becomes a prisoner again after getting in trouble with gods he thought he killed and they take those weapons tyr displayed in Valhalla. Tyr is definitely going to be an important piece on getting them to Egypt. Mock my words.

The thing with any GoW game is that they take place during certain points of earth’s history (all be it a mythological one), so going back to an mythological realm that was already traveled to doesn’t make much sense. To me, if the next game is indeed confirmed to be in Egypt , then it should be a prequel fleshing out the Fallen God timeline. The GoW series has done prequels before to flesh out the lore so this could be no different. If we are talking true sequel to the Norse Realm, then it should be in a mythology fans of the series have yet to experience. Like always, I have faith in Sony SM to create a compelling story and experience for the next instalment.
@ved23608 күн бұрын
0:28 Sure we can. Kratos is a Norse god now. He's functionally a politician that has official duties and responsibilities in The Nine Realms. It's implied the other mythologies exist in parallel universes but they mostly don't interfere with one another because they're too faraway and doing so would constitute an act of war. It's also shown that Tyr visited other mythologies. But he probably did it as a guest and was careful not to offend his hosts. And that's our angle here. Kratos could visit the Egyptian mythology as a foreign diplomat or because they requested his aide as a military general or advisor. Or the Egyptian Pantheon launches an invasion to try and conquer the Nine Realms. Or he learns Atreus got into some local trouble there and goes over to help his son. There's a lot of hooks you can use here. Kratos would still retain his character development, he'd just have different motivations for interacting with other gods.

They HAVE to acknowledge Fallen God if not have it take place during or after Fallen God. 4:30 Nice acknowledgement of that creature. Though, I have many questions about they could or might do: Will Set and/or Apophis be the final boss, or in a further sequel game? Will Anubis be voiced by Clancy Brown, like his Greek counterpart Hades? Will Bast be like Athena? Will Thoth jest about Kratos and with Mimir regarding his time during Fallen God? Will the gods be animal headed, be fully human looking, or be anthropomorphic animals, or all of the above? Will they reference Gods Of Egypt, for some reason? Will Nephtys be given respect? Will there be jokes about Isis’s name? Will they have Anput and Maahes as a non-blood related anthropomorphic jackal woman and anthropomorphic lion man couple? Will Aten be fought? Will Hermes be mentioned? Will Ascension be referenced because of the whole Pharaoh thing? Will there be obligatory and called for incest jokes, especially considering that Greek Mythology also had plenty of incest, mainly amongst their gods, as well? But most importantly: Will Kratos, Týr, and Horus team up so we can have the cut plot of God Of War III but way better?

They need to build a story based on some questions left unanswered: 1. The Fate of the Giants. 2. The origins/secrets of the mask. 3. Atreus's Journey 4. Kratos's Redemtion. Or... 5. A new threat.

Personally think it would make more sense for Set to flee and leave Atreus to take the fall. The Ennead and other gods could hold Atreus prisoner and not believe he's innocent because Set is a trickster or be less likely to believe him for the same reason. Potentially they could call Kratos as a character witness or have him come in blades blazing depending on how he reacts to the summons or news. Either way would be interesting to see how a more mature Kratos would respond to going back to Egypt 🤘🤘🤘

What if, in the new game, Atreus finds his people (either by putting their souls into powerful monsters much like he did the world serpent or even just finds his people are actually alive and well) and let's say he finds out more lore about his dad and his Greek life, then he discovers the goddess isis who can revive and ends up finding out that she has some subplot to take over the norse pantheon, he actually unites his people and makes some kind of a surprise entrance during the battle between the Norse lands and the Egyptians and then we get a moment where Kratos and Atreus armies both are fighting. This would cement that Kratos has successfully raised Atreus into the warrior he hoped he would be (especially if Atreus happens to be around the age kratos was when he was a Spartan general) and it would overall show both Kratos and Atreus as strong characters in their own right. This could also still take place during Sets rebellion leading toward the chaos realm being more of a prominent focus along with more context on the demiurge. Who knows maybe either Atreus or kratos may even reach or travel in or to the higher plane of existence.

I still don’t think the story is wrapped up yet after all there are still a lot of questions to be answered and already Cory Barlog confirmed that some of this will be answered. 1. What is the mask exactly and what was behind the rift? 2. Who Blew the horn? 3. This is not really a question, but there is still not enough information on how to travel within different mythologies. So I think there will be at least another whole saga, which to be honest I would be more than happy to play, because I love GoW.

Concept: Game starts out with us playing as a late teens Atreus going through Egypt searching for…whatever. (This is our tutorial sequence)He messes up and gets taken by someone from the pantheon. Just before they get him, he somehow sends off a message or messenger back to kratos. The whole way to his prison he’s cackling and joking and laughing and just not taking the guards seriously. Then maybe we met Set and he’s trying to torture the godling for information or whatever when Atreus just starts laughing again “What is so funny godling?” “I’m excited to see the look on your face when my dad gets here..” roll title sequence. Intro credits Cut to Kratos spending his day helping the Norse people, fighting easy enemies and whatever. Normal day until a quest comes up involving a messenger. So begins the story Kory Barlog, you know where to find me babe, my inbox is waiting.

Would be neat if the story of 6 was of Kratos figuring out how to get to Egypt. Maybe Kratos want to avoid going there after seeing Athena there in the comics, but Freya insists (she wants to continue the peace mission and knows Kratos needs the closure with Athena). When they get there at the end, it plays out like with Jötunheim at the end of 2018, everyone is already dead and no idea how or why. The game ends with Mimir making a quip about they can finally have some beachfront property.

Not really the ONLY way. The other way would be to place the game in between Greece and Midgard. After all he did end up in Egypt in Fallen God, however if they did this, they would likely use the idea of Fallen God, but have to end up making it non-canon by changing it slightly, or do as you said, and have some sort of reason for Atreus to go there. Maybe he decides to go traveling to go see the places Kratos had been to learn more about his past or something. I don’t know how they’d do it, but tbf we thought GoW was dead after Greece too. But Santa Monica really pulled it off. So I’m sure if they DO decide to do it, they’ll have a way to make it make sense
@nickolasemenger90008 күн бұрын
Not sure if this idea would match up with the timeline since I’ve never read the Fallen God comic but what if the next game is a prequel to Kratos arriving in Midgard? Fleshes out more of his time in Egypt/arrival in Midgard and at the end of the game it sets up why Kratos would need to go there again after the events of Ragnarok/Valhalla? Basically a prequel that leads to a sequel of Ragnarok? I dunno haha

I agree with others that making Atreus a “damsel in distress” would disservice his story arc, that in its current form has concluded and he is on to a new arc. I haven’t had time to keep my eye on things after beating GoW:R, so I don’t know if there has been news or leaks outside of us knowing Kratos is going to Egypt, but I have an idea for a story arc that would not only serve to continue Kratos arc (which, in my opinion, isn’t finished with Valhalla) but would also allow SM to return to some of the spectacle that even avid fans of 2018 and Ragnarok fans like myself missed. Here goes: How will Kratos get an in universe reason to go to Egypt? What makes sense for his character? We know he has come to terms with his history from Valhalla and he is now willing to be the peaceful god of war much like the loved Tyr. But that isn’t the end of his arc. In fact, he just began the journey of redemption. So how would Egypt play into that? Well, I like your idea of war with Seht (Set?) because my thought process takes me to some sort of war in Egypt with a clear person in the wrong. I’m sure SM could write a good way of having this war somehow pull Kratos in. This would help Kratos come full circle. He wasn’t the only reason war broke out in the Greek pantheon, but he surely did so much needless damage (kind of the focus of Valhalla) and he was ultimately the big bad. In 2018 and ragnarok he is neutral but learns to handle his past which sets him up to be the good guy in the next story. Maybe putting an awesome and brutal end to some baddass creatures who don’t have morality and a purpose so that Kratos can get rid of them without consequence. Unlike killing Helios or Nithogg. In a way, he can become his own version of Tyr. That’s obviously the quick version of it. But I think something along those lines would be good grounds for bringing back the massive playgrounds (like fighting on a moving titan) that we miss, while serving the story arc that SM wants to tell, and it still leaves rooms for the expectation subversions that SM is so good at. They know that what the fans want isn’t always what they need and in their hands a would trust anything they write to be good.
