We the Igbo people of the world believe in continuity and perpetuation of a lineage. When a woman or a man as the case may be is unable to reproduce, we become concerned because we know what's at stake. In a bid not have an end to a lineage, we look for means to keep our names going. Now, as a Christian I do my prayers and ask God to bless me, my siblings, my neighbours and enemies with children. I as an Igbo man will never come to believe that it is ok not to have children, it runs counter to my culture and heritage. Desperation for children is real and I pray God lift those in such situation out of it. Yes adoption happens, but I pray God gives you your own. Amen.

All those sentences only to contradict yourself in the end.

Your statement and beliefs paint the scenario for such scams. God may want you NOT to have physical lineage. It may be God's will. How many of God's choicest servants had children?

@obinnaigboli6686, your comment is the reason for this desperation and your line that you are a Christian is not genuine it is conditional. You say it is not OK for someone not to have children, please show me one sane African woman who wants to be childless or a widow?? I have never met a single one. It is people with sentiments like yours that make life absolute hell for African women. God himself would never treat a motherless woman with such vitriol, harassment, name calling and oppression. What would you say to a mother who has lost all 5 children in a terrorist attack?? Would she be condemned??? Because by what you are saying it s the lineage that counts. Africa is a harsh unforgiving, cruel place......
