I kept making jokes like “Reggies the killer” “She’s sleeping with Reggie” “Reggie is sending the texts” “WHERES REGGIE ;REEEEEEE-GIEEEEEEE” “why didn’t he call for help like lassie” Also on another note the ending was bs I get they show that he’s wearing a mask but the fact he has hair makes it seem like it’s worth a rewatch, but when I watch it back you don’t see anyone with short curly hair so it literally has no meaning.

The entire time, I was screaming: "Why is nobody asking where the footage is coming from". So when Dan Stevens asked where she found the footage, it actually made sense and felt less like he was trying the find the footage and more so find out actually how it came about. Like, if Toby Huss the property owner died, how was the footage playing on the tv or being sent to phones. The fact that nobody during the movie even thought about it for a second was frustrating.

Honestly that’s a really good point but I’d also argue that a steamed girlfriend just realizing that her supposed loyal boyfriend cheated on her would absolutely erupt in anger if the first words of his apology were “so how did you find out”. Like obviously it’s a logical question but it lacks any remorse or guilt, he’s already forgotten about being sorry for cheating in that way

My only issue with this movie is there’s too many either very poorly placed dead end plot strings or just unintentional ones. Like when the brother who had been in prison found that room that was locked and then the other locked room within that one and they made it seem so ominous but then he got a text and they never showed what was with that room, or the previous one. And with the ending proving the house meant absolutely nothing to the killer, those scenes were just bullshit manufactured tension to pad run time. The actors were great. The writing was 😑

I wish they had been aware of the killer even just briefly at least more than just one girl . And there had been a struggle with the killer and someone a bit more than the one knife in the face. A little more chasing and dodging and hiding and maybe some attempts to fight him by an already injured Josh instead f everyone being killed so quickly What happens though after the second Airbnb the killer books and leaves bodies or at least missing persons? Any cop will look through all people who had immediate access to the Airbnb at some point in time and as soon as they see this guy correlate as a guest to two of the airbnbs where people went missing it would be a very obvious red flag why these people are going missing/ being bodied. Even if the cops have no proof he did it he would have a hard time pulling it off again at another Airbnb with cops now following him waiting to catch him Eventually in a sequel he'll be booking a room for himself in prison

4:20 really? This is the most contrived part of the movie for me. The woman sees the camera in the shower head, she *just so happens to be* one of the people who *just so happens to be* cheating and *just so happens to* see it when the only other person around is the one she's cheating with and it *just so happens to be* the reason that she not only doesn't call the cops, but that she fights with the property manager causing the beating of the property manager who *just so happens to* get knocked unconscious by a guy who isn't in on the cheating. Even after all of that the killer taunts the one person who's regretting not calling the police right away and the only reason she doesn't call the cops _appears_ to be that she *just so happens to be* on drugs, that we haven't even set up as a problem for her yet. If the killer had been revealed to have known them and somehow, through some Rube Goldberg-esque planning, caused all of that while showing how he did so I would have rolled my eyes a bit and probably let this go, suspending disbelief enough to think of it as his horror movie antagonist superpower. However, the end of the movie makes it pretty clear that this guy just sort of oopsie-woopsie lucked into all of this. The writers blessed the killer with some kind of reverse deus ex machina (daemonium ex machina?) that makes everything work out for him despite the fact that he's too lazy and obvious about what he's doing (I mean she finds the camera just by looking up, there's no other reason for it, she just sees it). It's just lazy writing and I can't be all that scared of a guy who has to get insanely, win-the-lottery-because-lightening-struck-the-right-numbers-on-the-powerball-machine, lucky the one time they show him killing someone. They might as well have had all the main characters die from slipping on a four separate banana peels the killer left on different sets of stairs.

The whole movie I was waiting on something about the killer annnnddd nothing. I also hate the stupid “coincidence” trope in movies like this. These two couples “randomly” book the Airbnb that the killer was stalking out just to kill them? The morale thing doesn’t fit the killers MO either because the brother of the supposed owner of the house did anything wrong but yet he was killed. No follow up either? They completely whiffed on the opportunity to show the pictures that Josh found in the basement and or something at the end that shows the original owner being arrested. I mean ffs his own brother just got killed which seems to be his handy man.
