Hi Doc- As a child (2yrs old) I was diagnosed with Atopic asthma/allergies. I've been into natural stuff my entire adult life & have learned to manage it. Fortunately I rarely have any problems whatsoever. To the people that say they've had a little annoying cough for years: it could be ALLERGIES!! My allergic response has changed over the years. Used to only be itchy nose/eyes & sneezing/runny nose. Now I seem to only get a little tickle/cough that is most annoying at bedtime. I've learned it's an allergic response but many people/doctors never figure it out! Burdock & Nettle are both mast cell stabilizers & they help me immensely!!! I'm waiting for my Brigham tea & can't wait to try it. I was beside myself when I learned that it's American Ephedra & just how helpful it really is. THANK YOU again for sharing your knowledge🙏😇🙏

I have used mullein & garlic in olive oil for ear infections in my children (&babies) It stinks but works really fast & relieves the pain instantly!! I would warm the bottle in pretty warm water & shake & test on the rest like a baby bottle. The warm oil takes the pain instantly, it's amazing!

I'm a healthy 63 year old living in New England. Last February I started getting severe nasal congestion and inflammation. Many sleepless night and miserable days. The only relief I've had was two months this summer when the air conditioner was on. I was good at home and work. It's started back up again in September.

I couldn't take it so I finally was diagnosed with allergic rhinitis. I won't take the steroid sprays or claratin and a natural antihistamine hasn't worked. I've taken herbs for years but am not sure what is going on and how I can all of a sudden become allergic. It was suggested I go to an allergist to find out what I'm allergic to. Any ideas fir relief and cute? Thanks Elaine Love your videos!

Hello, I see St Johns wort on the Anti-viral list, could it be dried and used as a tea for the antiviral effect? Everywhere I hear that if you dry it the hypericin disappears or gets destroyed? So is the hypericin responsible for the antiviral effect? Or is there another compound in the plant responsible for that? So I have a lot this year and I was wondering if I could maybe dry some and use as an antiviral tea during the cold season that is about to start here in Scandinavia. Thank You Kindly in Advance. Best Regards from Sweden.

I have a horse that has heaves and is no longer fit to ride because he coughs when I sit on his back. Would lobelia work for him or is it too dangerous because horses can't vomit? What would be the dose for him? Even if I can't ride him I would like him to be comfortable. In the winter we have to resort to dexamethasone injections and albuterol nebulizer treatments or he really struggles. I understand herbs in humans but animals, especially horses, is a bit beyond my scope. Also, do you have an herbal reference for animals that you would recommend? Thanks so much!
@HomeGrownHerbalist3 жыл бұрын
I'd have a look at this one: homegrownherbalist.net/product/resp-azma-powder/ Lobelia is fine for horses if dosed correctly. I'm currently writing a book on herbal medicine and critters. Stay tuned. Some fever myths: Myth: Fevers cause brain damage or fevers above 104°F (40°C) are dangerous. Fact: Fevers with infections don't cause brain damage. Only body temperatures above 108°F (42.2°C) can cause brain damage. Fevers only go this high with the high environmental temperatures (e.g., confined to a closed car). Myth: Without treatment, fevers will keep going higher. Fact: Wrong. Fevers from infection top out at 105° or 106°F (40.6° or 41.1°C), due to a thermostat in the brain.

I haven't. Sounds like a photosensitivity issue. Some weeds can cause that if eaten in large enough amounts.
