My point is that good aligned people don't taunt/provoke/annoy/irritate for the sole purpose of doing it. That reply has the sole purpose of provoke. If you have to kill, just do it. Don't be an ass about it. Don't say something to satisfy your desire of acting superior and winner. Because that's the only reason you have for saying it, and deep inside you know it. If you had any other reasons (like explainging why you have to do it) you'd stop, blade to his throat, and talk one minute clarifying your reasons before killing. Instead it's a "NO, U" It's not reply of a good aligned person altrough it may slip there. But paladin is a class about not slipping, ever.
@FRD3575 жыл бұрын
@@Scarletraven87 No, being a good aligned person does not mean being super duper nice to everyone. A lawful good character may still be an absolute dickhead to the right people. Be a good chance to talk about playing perma injured or disabled characters, either via birth or otherwise, and opinions on some advantages and disadvantages on doing so! In a world of magical healing it's rarely tackled, but I can see someone making a character where an untreated missing arm is left as such due to psychological guilt/damage rather than a inability for magic to heal. It can be a great hook for personal growth and self-forgiveness! Talking about the 'risk' for falling into the 'magical disabled person' trope, and instead embracing the real struggles with pain and social drawbacks could be neat! In my current campaign, my character and my friend’s character were killed by a necromancer’s hands and skeletons shooting arrows. First though, my character had been chained up on a table, forced to watch the undead corpse of her friend shamble towards her. Then, she was stabbed to death, only able to say “I’m sorry” to her friend. My DM saw this, and after we wrapped up what happened to our other party members, offered me to let my character become a revenant in secret, mostly so I could go kill the necromancer. So Flora, my sweet half-elf Druid, became one, breaking back into the dungeon and bringing back the necromancer’s head, as well as the corpse of her friend and loot. She left the box with the head in it at her companion’s door in the inn, and buried herself and the other dead member in a rosebush patch she had recently grown outside of town during the campaign. It was really nice to get closure with it, since both of us really loved our characters, and it allowed me to go back in and not have more party members die via skeleton archers, hands, or necromancer. This is the shortened version of what happened, but I thought it was cool you did an episode about this, so I wanted to share!
