I was thinking the same thing. I bet rail fans like us are sad. 😥 that the cars are not going to make it on the gold line tracks. The p2000 is making a comeback in the gold line tracks once the regional connector is complete.

The good news is the p2000 is making a comeback on the gold line tracks and we most likely going to see alot of p2550 on the blue line tracks,expo line tracks or even the green line when the regional connector is complete.

@@theghostofmrcow1985 Oh yes. The P2550 will soon share tracks on the blue line with the P3010 light rail and the P2000's can finally go back on the gold line. I wish that the P2020's would have made it to the Regional Connector. To me, those original light rail cars are in better shape than the new P3010 cars.

It’s sad. They were supposed to be service until at least 2024. But since Division 11 has no more room for the P2020 LRV Fleet due to high demand of the P3010s

@@Lucrativecris The Breda A650's trains that run on the Red and Purple line, are next to retire too. An MTA employee told me that the original Breda A650 cars numbered 501-530 are the first ones being taken out of service. The new CRRC HR4000 trains from China are coming to the Red and Purple lines this summer in the month of June.

The thing is, these P2020’s have actually been having less maintenance issues than the P3010’s, but the issue is, Metro just wants to make their city look “better” for the 2028 Olympic Games so rather than saving money and keep these going, they’re just dumping their money on these new cheap trains.

As Andrea Bocelli’s Song Says: *”Time To Say Goodbye”* I only Got to ride One of these Babies southbound on The A (Blue) Line. I never got to ride the P865’s. ONE OF THESE P2020 LRVs NEED TO BE SENT TO THE OERM WITH THEIR SISTER TRAIN THE P865. Also, when will the P2020 LRV get retired? Cuz I wanna go to L.A. (I Live In Fullerton, CA) to get a Last Ride. Update: The last ride I got was only on the A (Blue) Line During COVID. And will that ride be forever in my memories.

It sucks California is loosing so many old train fleets this year. BART is loosing the Rohr and Alstom trains, MUNI is loosing its Breda fleet, and Sac is soon going to be getting rid of its Siemens and CAF cars. Not that I don’t like any of the new trains, just sucks to see a little bit of history going. Also, nice video as always!

The old Siemens U2A are going to be replaced with newer Siemens S700s. So technically, Siemens isn't going bye bye with SacRT

Hopefully they keep the CAF's for a bit... I have never been on a SacRT train even though I have been to Sac four times! Too bad I will probably never get to ride the U2's. As for LA Metro, they have one Siemens vehicle in their fleet that's hated by operators and railfans alike, but I personally love them :)

there were p865 on the greenline before the 2020s. Car 100, 126 and 136 were retrofitted with US&S ATP before the first 2020 was delivered. I was there!

@@stevenparker1063 I don't like the US&S and WCH equipment being used on the Crenshaw/LAX project. It doesn't match the rest of the Metro Rail network, with the use of L&W dwarf signal cases for the motorman beacon. But it's whatever.
