Haha, yeah they're huge in Tokyo! You'll find them in any airport or train station large enough to sell souvenirs!

I lived in Tokyo for a decade (1989-1999), and had never heard of Tokyo Banana during the entire time I was there. It wasn't until 2004 when I was living and working in Yokkaichi (Mie), and my supervisor was excitedly passing around a box of them from someone who had just come back from a trip to Tokyo, that I learned of the existence of Tokyo Banana.
