Thank you for this video trent! im an ex-satanist who used to be a radical pro hookup, pro degeneracy type feminist who used to make that kind of "content" on obscure sites when I turned 18. A few months after I started making that kind of content, I started dating someone who had an extremely devout mother, who later revealed when she met me, she started praying and fasting for my conversion. Thanks be to God I had an extremely radical conversion to Christ shortly after meeting her, and I deleted all my content, threw out all my occult stuff. Im now almost 22, and im now a Catholic student missionary, and I want to make it my life's mission to bring Christ to others, especially the lost sheep like me. The moral of the story is pray for these women, if you know someone in your life who needs God, pray for them, fast for them, cry out to God on their behalf and He will bring them home, for no one is too far gone for His merciful love❤

@@sercastamere9853 We have no right to judge the quality of another's repentance absolutely. Our duty is to pray for this person, and to exercise the same charity God has shown to us. It's also not wrong to state that ones sinful past has contributed to their current outlook on life, which can easily be how we interpret her words. Right, the Bible goes out of it's way to show God's mercy to women who engage in sex work upon repentance. Sex work isn't some special category of sin God won't forgive. That said, I do think Christians need to trust but verify. Be happy and joyful over the profession of faith, but don't shove them into media interviews 2 months after coming to Christ. I can only imagine what sort of terrible interview I would have given 2 months after surrendering to Christ. Give them some time to mature as a Christian before interviewing them.

If someone not only sinned publicly, but also publicly encouraged others to sin, then it not only makes sense, but is right and just that after they repent they publicly denounce that sin and try to discourage and warn the public against it. In fact, for all of us one of the greatest goods that can come from our past sin is a specialised understanding and calling to save others from a particular evil we're intimately acquainted with. (It's true for all kinds of struggles and experiences, in fact. We should be at least familiar with the concept of testimony.)

@@sercastamere9853 "and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us" You'll be forgiven as much as you forgive. Then there's also the parable of the debtors, who was forgiven the huge debt, but then he wouldn't forgive the smaller debt someone had owned him. We have forgive to be forgiven. We have to forgive other people, who are all finite creatures like us,if we want to be forgiven by the Infinite God. And any great tragedy that happens to us that needs forgiveness, that's the place where we can unite ourselves with God himself and be tools of His Mercy. It's a privilege.
@nethrelm

@@sercastamere9853 Sure, but we're just pointing out what it says in Sacred Scripture. Literally right after the last verse of the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6 it says: "14 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; 15 but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." It sounds like forgiving others had better be top priority for you if you expect to be forgiven yourself. So while judgement is up to our Lord, and He is a just judge abounding in grace and mercy, I think it is wise to take God at His word and place forgiveness of others at the forefront of your mind and heart.
@daniellesanders526
@daniellesanders526 Ай бұрын
@@sercastamere9853 God forgave you even though you didn't deserve it. Why then should you not forgive others? Forgiveness is not synonymous with condoning or excusing or overlooking. Condoning suggests that the evil action was actually not evil at all. Excusing suggests that the evil action was not evil due to outside circumstances. Overlooking means pretending that the evil action never happened. Forgiving means recognizing that the evil action was evil but choosing to let go of all anger, bitterness, and resentment that YOU have towards what happened. Forgiveness does not mean you need to be the culprit's friend or spend time with them or trust them. It simply means genuinely wishing for the culprit who committed that evil act to one day recognize what they did wrong, feel remorse, repent, and receive God's grace--just the same way you did. If you are unwilling to share the grace of God with those you hate, then why should it be given to you?

Yep! I agree. It's the spirit of pride & I recognize it as very worldly. They look down on others because (1) they consider their sins worse than their own sins, (2) they disbelieve the reality of Grace & its healing power, (3) they disbelieve in God's mercy, (4) think that it's easy to avoid the other's sin because it's not their own struggle & they have not been allowed to fall in an area to the extent of truly realizing their wretchedness. If you look at the Catholic works on mystical theology, the transition of beginner to proficient is usually done through a phase in which a lot of stripping is done & the soul sees itself as a sinner, weak, & utterly dependent on grace. So we can all hope that those who have not already been somewhat humbled by life's "rock-bottoms" will still find the opportunity in the dark nights of senses and spirit!

The love and mercy displayed by Catholics is what encouraged me to join my local Catholic church. When I reached out to the RCIA director, he welcomed me. The members of the church urged me to join them at dinner after the Novena to Santo Nino. I have never felt so overwhelmingly welcome before anywhere else. This love is what helps others make better decisions in their lives. To be Christ-like is to give grace. I hope Nala finds peace and happiness in her new life with Jesus.

Brother Trent your kind words brought tears to my eyes. I get overwhelmed with awe every time I think of the goodness of Abba God. He is so kind and merciful towards His children though we don't deserve it. I'm so happy to welcome another sister to our family and I praise her adoption right along with the Heavenly host. How can anyone deny the divinity of Jesus when He's capable of forgiving all and saving all? He's all powerful and all-loving to His creation. To deny this young lady of salvation is to deny Jesus' very divinity. It's akin to blasphemy and I pray that the Holy Spirit will soften the hearts of our siblings who think they know better than Jesus who is worthy of salvation. May God bless you and keep you Trent!

As a great sinner myself that was saved by the love and great mercy of our Lord, intervention of our Mother, and loving priests who guided me patiently, only God has the right to judge, we as a great community and family only should call out, guide and support people to come back to our Lord, we cannot have the luxury to lose more souls. I am from South America and I have seen many times in our community to be extremely skeptical and very cynical towards recent converts instead of welcoming them and support the process which is essential because you can go back to sin. I totally get being skeptical on new converts like this. Absolutely. But even if we’re skeptical, we should always encourage and pray for conversion. Just reading these tweets; 0:20 0:39 I can’t believe what I’m hearing. The whole time I was just thinking “Mary Magdalene”. These people have no concept of atonement or forgiveness. This stuff sends people straight to hell…how can you expect God to forgive you if you can’t forgive others? They don’t understand the magnitude of their own sin and that God is perfectly just in casting ALL of us into fiery damnation for all eternity for our “small” sins. No concept of Grace. Saying converts from this will never be acceptable or forgiven…that they shouldn’t even be allowed in society….just wow. Doesn’t matter if you’re skeptical of Nala, EVERY Christian should condemn what those people said…if you won’t, you should examine whether you should be calling yourself a Christian.

He said that he didn't know he needed to hear that apology from a porn creator, until he heard her say it. And that it was really healing for him somehow. Nick Fuentes did a show on this topic which I found very insightful. I think the biggest problem I have with Nala's story is that she didn't convert to Catholicism but rather to a protestant denomination. This means she likely has no concept of confession and making amends, both of which are critical to true repentance. Back in the Middle Ages, some people's pennance after confession was to make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem to better help heal their souls. While that sounds extreme today, it was necessary. Nala has caused damage to thousands of young men and I believe if she is sincere, she should donate any money she made from porn, disappear from public life and go on a year long retreat.

I feel this “can’t be saved” view is primarily Protestant (although Laura Loomer is Jewish). Maybe my net isn’t wide enough, but I haven’t seen any genuine Catholics I follow say anything like this. Rather, I’ve seen the Catholic side being encouraging and requesting prayers for these women I think that’s a reflection of how the Catholic faith truly recognizes we have crosses to bear, and we don’t try to run from them. And I realize Pearl was raised Catholic, but she’s clearly not practicing today

I’m not “blaming” Protestants. Much of the Protestant faith is Christ without the cross, and I see this kind of reaction as a fruit of that. Since there’s no sacrament of confession in the vast amount of Protestant faiths, determining who is forgiven and who is not gets murky, and each individual person presents themselves as the authority over the validity of this forgiveness I referenced Laura and Pearl bc that’s who Trent referenced in the video.

@kdublock
@kdublock Ай бұрын
@@dahliaherrod4301 I know I will be generalizing greatly here bc there are thousands of Protestant denominations, but many teach the “once saved, always saved” theology. So, all you have to do to get saved is one simple act- that may be to get baptized, or say the sinners prayer, or just profess you believe Jesus is your savior. It sounds easy enough, but then ask, what happens if a person sins again? Are they still saved? Since they’ve been saved once and for all, do they now have a free pass to sin as much as they’d like? So if you press in on the issue to understand what happens to the professed Christian who sins, the answer ultimately leads to “they were never ‘real’ Christians to begin with” However, the Catholic Church teaches that being saved - or, sanctification - is a process. Your sins are forgiven at baptism, but you’ll very likely sin afterwards. That’s why Catholics have the sacrament of confession. Since it is a sacrament instilled by Christ himself, you can be assured your sins are forgiven and your slate is wiped clean. You can go to confession as often as you need to. Many of us struggle with grave sin and it will take time to kick the bad habit. Hence, this whole process of bettering yourself to walk away from sin is a process. It is a cross to bear, but grace flows through our sacraments so we can unite these crosses to Christ to help us carry them. If instead you don’t recognize the sacrament of confession, it’s very tempting to just label a public sinner as not a ‘real’ Christian

People compare this story to the Prodigal Son while forgetting that the other son was prodigal in his own way. Like the "well-behaved" son, the people condemning her want to feel above her in some way, like they aren't also in need of God's mercy. My personal opinion is we should rejoice for this sister's turn to Christ while discouraging her away from making content at all (adult or not). She has more gifts to provide the world than being a spectacle, and "content creation" has clearly been harmful to her spiritually and we should not condone it for her or tune in. I confess to wanting to accuse her in a video comments section of grift, but I thought better of it. My concern was that she was still using the public look and image of her pronography days (anime reminiscent red hair and makeup). However, I do not know enough about her or her intentions to treat that as material evidence of a lack of true conversion. She may hope to use her recognizability to make her conversion a more effective tool for the conversion of others. I praise God for her repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ!

Thank you for this. You said every point I would share with Pearl if I knew her. Those who have been forgiven little, forgive little & love little. Pearl’s comment about hating that parable shows how she is mistaken and thinks being Christian is earning your way into heaven by checking off certain boxes. She hasn’t experienced God’s deep grace, or has forgotten it. The world judges because it doesn’t receive God’s forgiveness.
