Some people are curious why his soldiers and Mirdania were so “annoyed” with Celebrimbor but remember this. The first scene you see of him he’s peacefully drinking tea at the balcony (under Sauron’s illusion) but in reality there was destruction going on. Imagine being a citizen or soldier of Eregion looking up and seeing your lord calmly drinking tea while you’re being attacked. They thought he truly went insane.

I do not get all the hate surronding this season. I've been invested every episode for the most part compared to season 1 which I had very little. I wish the music was extraordinary and unique to locations & main characters having their own themes would make it feel much more personal like in Game of thrones. The troll is my favorite part of the battle they gave him such a personality. Celebrimbor & Sauron always steals the show the actors is awesome. RIP Mirdania dang!

You guys were questioning about the battle being unnecessary because of the common goal. But to me it becomes clear when Galadriel is negotiating with Adar in the last episode that she tries to convince him into marching only against Sauron, but he considers Eregion already lost do Sauron's tricks and doesn't care about destroying the entire kingdom and its citizens, which is what the elves are trying to prevent: the complete destruction of their kingdom. I really like this episode, although I thought the kiss was a weird and unnecessary choice. In fact I'm liking the entire season more than you guys. Somethings you consider issues I don't see as issues OR I don't see them at all ahahah but that's me.

@GameknightJ142 ай бұрын
Elrond kissing his mother-in-law is a weird play (especially the swelling music), even if it is to slip Galadriel a means of escape. Fun fact, the dwarves chant (Baruk Khazad!) means “The axes of the dwarves!” and is usually followed by “Khazad Ai-Menu!” (There are accents there that I don’t know how to replicate in KZbin’s app), which means “The dwarves are upon you!” Interesting fact about the rings: in the books, it isn’t the 1 (Sauron), the 3 (elves), the 7 (dwarves), and the 9 (men), it’s the 1, the 3, and the 16. The 16 are a kind of prototype that “Annatar” helped with over centuries. Celebrimbor smells something fishy and forges the 3 in secret, but they aren’t used after Sauron forges the one, which reveals his betrayal to all. Sauron then leads the orcs to attack Eregion, killing Celebrimbor and taking the 16. He gives 7 to the 7 dwarf-lords and 9 to great lords of men (three from Numenor and at least one from the East). The 7 don’t work quite as intended because the dwarves are literally too stubborn to be affected, but they do cause great greed, which leads to the unearthing of the Balrog in Moria, and dragons becoming interested in other dwarves lands (imagine Smaug from the Hobbit, but worse), which ends up weakening the dwarves anyway. In regards to Celebrimbor trying to melt the rings, he didn’t put them in the main forge, that appeared to be damaged by artillery. In the books, Gandalf said dragon fire (which is super intense) can melt the lesser rings. His little fireplace wouldn’t have been enough.

i mean they not written a better version than tolkien which is the frustrating part, they could just done things like the books lol. But the celebrimbor and sauron stuff was good in its own way. But still plot holes and how time pass issues. Elves unfortunately most time just feel like men and don't have that mystical and wise side to them. Which is a shame. But the main plot is alot better this year.

I must admit, domestic violence comment had me laughing 😂

The battle of Eregion was so poorly done. I remember seeing whole sections of the wall empty and thinking back to the Two Towers and the siege at Helms deep. No comparison.
