I absolutely loved Halloween 6. It was the only movie in the franchise that had the actually fall look of the colors on the trees. The atmosphere, the tone and the creepiness made it enjoyable. The dysfunctional dynamics in the Strode family, Tommy Doyle in the boarding house. I can watch this movie multiple times in the fall and never get tired of it. This was my third favorite in the franchise after H1 and H2. The ending where Loomis told Tommy and Kara "I have a little business to attend to" was very emotional. It was Donald Pleasance and his character Dr Loomis saying goodbye to his fans, friends and family. The look in his eyes said it all. He basically surrendered to Michael and killed his character. It was his way knowing he was about to pass away. Made me very sad when he passed away. To me, the franchise ended after H6. RIP Loomis/Donald Pleasance.

In the original, he takes time to locate the local cemetery....finds his sister's grave...lifts the tombstone...carries it to the car....spends hours driving around with it in the car...waits til Annie is dead...then GOES BACK to the car to fetch the headstone(maybe he had it stashed close by)...then arranges it in time for Laurie Strode's arrival(along with two other corpses in the closet and cabinet)...Michael was always like an artist of the macabre. The Revenge Of Michael Myers' first cardinal sin was ret-conning the ending of Return Of Michael Myers. I wouldn't mind a legacy sequel called The Return Of Jamie Lloyd. Imagine her being a lifelong patient at Smith's Grove's Sanitarium, voluntarily. She's terrified to return to society, because she doesn't trust herself, but she also fears that Uncle Shape will come back for her.
@KRobinson-ko1ne2 ай бұрын
She was never supposed to be the main villain though The purpose of the twist was to establish that she COULD grow up to bear Michael’s curse. A symptom of this condition is, of course, the telepathybond she and Michael share. This builds up beautifully to the scene in the Meyers house where she taps into HIS lost humanity and he removes his mask Of course 6 fucks everything up snubbing Harris her role and throwing Jamie away like garbage

I could get down with this. Man, I hope one day Danielle Harris gets to play Jamie one last time.

Another thing about Curse is while Jamie's been captive of this cult for six years, no one thought to at least search for her all that time? With Jamie gone and Michael's whereabouts at the very least unknown Loomis just retires? A man who doggedly would dedicate himself to stopping Michael just gave up knowing he was still out there? I just always thought that was strange.
@valeriebreidenstein836220 күн бұрын
I think the scene is only shown in the Pcut. But we get a flashback to the end of Halloween 5, when we see Jamie getting taken by the Cult and when they drive away, there is a giant explosion that blows up the police department. That's why everyone believes that Michael and Jamie died in that explosion (there is likely no evidence of the cult taken Michael and Jamie).

OK… hear me out. “Halloween 5” probably has the best chase sequence in the franchise (the laundry shoot scenario is terrifying, especially because it involves a child!) and the death of Tina’s boyfriend Mike by garden claw is one of Michael Myers’ most iconic and distinct kills. Finaly someone who is not so against the Thorn explanation for Michael's evil. It never bothers me. Of course, it is better to be a mistery, but if you're going to continue, that's a way to justify and extend the mitology. It's funny that was a trend in the early 90's with the big 3. Freddy had his powers from the Dream Sperm Demons, Jason from the Necronomicon and Myers from the Thorn. I think curse has the most decent explanation from the three. It's not so overly fantastical and is attached to the halloween holiday. I prefer the Thorn than the "Michael was a product of the enviroment serial killer trope" from the Zombie Remake.

Halloween 4 is my favorite film ever. I fell in love with it as a kid in the 80's and it's amazing. The opening credits are the best “Halloween” feeling moment in the entire franchise and the kills are also some of the best, especially the thumb kill to the EMT. That ending with Jamie turning evil is also epic and is really the thing that sets this movie apart from all of the others. Halloween 5 is not good except for 3 scenes which are the vent scene, the ending at the police station, and by far the best scene is when Dr. Loomis uses Jamie as bait to lure Michael into the chain trap. Halloween 6 has one of the best masks and a great electrocution kill but that's it.

The overall problem with the "Thorne Trilogy" is that the films were rushed and there wasn't a single director with a vision for all three of the movies. There were big ideas that could've been used to explain Michael and his origins but it was very erratic and poorly executed. Imagine each film as bits of potential good ideas in the form of jigsaw puzzle pieces that don't fit together. That's the Thorne Trilogy. Each film has elements of continuity with the Halloween franchise but they don't really connect and you can tell the ideas came from separate writers who only wanted to finish the film they were on. So nothing actually fits together in a coherent or logical way and most of the characters are inconsistent too. I still watch the trilogy and enjoy each film for what it is, which is something you have to do with any horror franchise of films. Especially the ones with many sequels, you gotta pick the things you like about it and enjoy those things. Otherwise, the annoyances ruin the films for you.

The Thorn Trilogy is the BEST trilogy in the entire Halloween franchise.

Great video man. Where’s the art of 5 and 6 from in the thumbnail? Don’t recognize them

I like this trilogy. Halloween 5 was the weakest. They continued the time-line in the comics which I loved. Halloween 5 better then rob zombies movies + the one with busta and Halloween ends

No way is Halloween 5 worse than the one one with Busta Rhymes.

Part 4 is overrated at this point. It's like a made for TV remake of the original movie. Do you love the original? Well, here it is again! Except everything's worse. Hooray!

As Far as I am concerned, there is NO THORN TRILOGY!!! Halloween 4 has NO MENTION of Thorn, call it the Jamie Lloyd Trilogy!!!

I was through with Halloween 5 once the cops allowed him to keep his monster mask on in his jail cell. Like I need to see that Mugshot 😅

4-5- AND 6 rule; and the real and best timeline, by far, is 1-2-4-5-6.

I remember on my old Crow VHS that Halloween 6 was called the origin of Michael Myers but I never heard why they changed it. Does anyone know?
