I was such a huge Tim Tebow fan since watching him during his College days with Florida. I am a huge Dolphins fan as well and I thought that Miami would’ve taken a chance on him in the draft. We were well known for the Wild Cat offense back then with Ronnie Brown in the backfield. Tebow would’ve made such a huge hit in Miami while also being able to stay home in Florida. This man has had such an amazing career wherever he went and I would have countless bar conversations with others defending him to the end. He is an inspiration to many and his faith in God has shown to many, that God always has a plan for you no matter the circumstances. Thank you, Tim Tebow. Thank you for always staying true to your faith and to yourself. God bless.

Sheesh you brought back memories. I’m a pats fan and I remember when Miami brought out the Wild Cat back then and totally caught the Pats off guard with it and beat them BAD. Thanks for the nostalgia man lol
@johnnyscarpetti23224 жыл бұрын
TM6 no problem, man. As a Dolphins fan, nostalgia is all we have for the time being. Lol. Since the Marino era, it has been a very long 20 years since we had a quarterback worthy of contention within the AFC East, let alone the other 28 teams. Several coaches, countless running backs, and a defense that hasn’t been stellar since Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor along with CB Sam Madison, took the field in the mid to late 90’s to the early 2000’s. Sure we can have the talks about the what if’s like Drew Brees at Quarterback instead of Daunte Culpepper back in the early 2000’s but like many other teams with the same what if questions, it has been gone and long past. Moving forward, I hope the Dolphins continue to consider to rebuild around Tua while also choosing to sit Tua for the entirety of this season to let him fully heal and continue to learn from the sidelines. No need to rush him in there. Championship teams weren’t built in a year especially with just one position after trading most of the team over the course of 2 seasons, except the Dallas Cowboys back in the late 80’s with Hershel Walker and the numerous picks that Jimmy Johnson and the Cowboys received from Minnesota to draft future hall of famers like Aikman, Emmitt, and Irvin. We all know that they ended up winning 3 championships after that. 92’, 93’, and 95’, respectively. The more time Tua has to learn on the sidelines, the more of a chance Dolphin fans will have to finally have a worthy franchise Quarterback. To conclude towards your Patriots, regardless of the many “reports” of the team throughout the last 20 years, kudos to the 6 time Super Bowl Championships that will be herald as one of the best teams to hold that achievement over the past 2 decades. Trust me, it sounds better for the time being, then what we have. Dolphin fans have to go all the way back to the 70’s to boast about our only 2 Super Bowl wins with one of them being the only team in NFL history to go 17-0 and win the Super Bowl against Washington. Patriots were close years ago with going 19-0 before the Super Bowl but we all know what happened against the Giants that year. I digress, football at its core is a team sport. A chess match that sees 85% mental and 15% physical on any given game day. The aspect of the game is the reason why I am a fan of the game and a student of the integrity of the history that has brought us over 100 years of professional football no matter what team we all cheer for!
@biglordebunnyrabbit6274 жыл бұрын
Johnny Scarpetti My goodness, the Dolphins damn sure could have used him. All you had to do is Taylor the offense around him. But, no, the NFL needed a pocket QB. Dude could legit win a game off pure will. That fact should never have been overlooked.

@drewgamezzz84824 жыл бұрын
@@PatrickKendrick1988 thats your opinion, and im sure a lot of other people's opinion, but compared to some, I can't say he was horrible, just not Top Tier talent. I mean the guy was a great playmaker tbh, and had five 4th quarter comebacks, in one season. I wouldn't call him a horrible qb, cause he wasn't horrible, just average imo, with the redeeming quality being playmaking ability and obviously being clutch af lol.
@PatrickKendrick19884 жыл бұрын
Drew Gamezzz watch every single one of his games, start to finish (not just the waning moments of the fourth quarter when the opposing defenses were in prevent D), and tell me he wasn’t overall a bad QB. Because he was. Luck played a huge factor in a lot of “his wins”, particularly against the Jets, Miami and Chicago. Take a close look at his losses. A good number of them were absolute blowouts. And most of his wins were because the opposing team played prevent D. If you stacked the box and forced Tebow to throw, he lost 99% of the time. That’s not the hallmark of a good QB. Tebow is out of the NFL because those who understand the game realized this. He’s not being blackballed for his beliefs like many like to claim. He simply isn’t good enough.
@drewgamezzz84824 жыл бұрын
@@PatrickKendrick1988 I never said he was being blackballed lol, but again, I just was saying purely off physical talent he was a good player, you're right, he wasn't the best qb, but he was one hell of a football player. And to me it doesn't matter who the wins were against, it was still pretty impressive to have that many comebacks in the 4th quarter in the same season, which like you said, if they weren't so bad they wouldn't have had to come back from that many points down haha. Im not really arguing with you. I just think it sucks that someone who was such a good football player didn't last as long as he could've in the NFL. Though I still believe if you put him in the right offense and staff, I think he still could've been a decent qb. But either way he didn't make it, and tbh I don't think it had a thing to do with his religion or any of that, thats kinda stupid to believe that someone was blackballed from the NFL for loving and praising God too much lol!

I remember that playoff OT pass. Everyone said he could never be a long term solution at QB for a team, but he always seemed to find some magic.

He has those intangibles that you cannot see he makes everybody better than he plays with. The players that he played with will tell you exactly that and they love this man

So I’m not a Tebow fan boy by any means, but I don’t see how this dude didn’t make it big in the nfl. I had no idea that he was that good in college.

I wasn't even a broncos fan at the time, but I still had to have a Tebow jersey. Still have it to this day.. He is a amazing human being, and I was sad when he kept getting passed team to team.

Great player: yes NFL bust: no I believe the NFL failed Tebow. He just didn't have a GM nor coach to believe in him. On the rite team he'll would been amazing.

The "NFL" doesn't perform on the field players do. Tebow didnt play in an NFL style offense in college, nor do I think his talents would have shined as well in one. Simply put he didnt have the intangibles to be a starter in the NFL. He's had an amazing life and is one of the greatest college players ever. Tebow can raise his head high.

I live in Gainesville Florida and met Tebow twice randomly in town when he was here, great dude and was an awesome college QB. I knew he had some serious flaws that would hurt his chances in the NFL, but he still has a lot of good things to look back on. Those years were some of the funnest times of my life.

Honestly, I wish there was 1 guy who decided to believe in him enough to really give him a shot. Let him run the offense. The guy was a winner, had a great arm. I still believe if he would have remained a Bronco things would have been very different. But no one showed faith in him. Gave him at max 20 passes a game and most came in 4th quarter. I believe he would have been a terrific QB in the league.

Tebow has always been my favorite college player even though I’m a huge Florida state fan. I’ve never understood why teams didn’t give him more of a chance since he played pretty well with the Broncos, but he really couldn’t be what he was in college
@MPerry-ox9qb4 жыл бұрын
The NFL is all about winning. If you dont win you lose your job including coaches. If the teams that took Tebow after the Broncos thought he would give them their best shot at winning he would have played more.

He was given chances. The consensus in the league is his passing was not accurate enough for the NFL. His skills made up for it in college football but not the NFL. Also, he was given a chance to convert to a different position, but he didn’t want to do that.
@la7era1u544 жыл бұрын
He couldn't compete, even for a third string job.
@RR-vu3ol4 жыл бұрын
Na he was just a little ahead of his time. The NFL back then still hadn't fully bought in to the zone read spread offense, now every team has it in the playbook. Would have liked to see him play in an offense that catered to his strengths, Vince Young too.
@ThisIsEloy34 жыл бұрын
It’s so sad to see how badly every team in the NFL failed him, but it’s even sadder to see it in hindsight seeing how badass he was in College as arguably the most dangerous player of his time especially for being an unorthodox leftie QB with the frame of a linebacker. Even though he will probably never have the chance to prove his worth in the NFL truly it’s undeniable that he demands the respect and love of all fans of football, especially as a fan of the Gators.
