Lawyer here. I am getting very frustrated with the repeated speculation over "no wrongdoing acknowledged" and similar wording. This does NOT mean that Twitch "acknowledged no wrongdoing" by Beahm, or vice versa--but that is how it seems to be reported, repeatedly. Even by a few of the sources and clips in this video. This kind of provision is found in nearly every single settlement agreement under the sun, and what it means is that neither party admits to any wrongdoing ON THEIR OWN BEHALF. Obviously, Twitch believes that Beahm did something wrong and Beahm thinks Twitter did something wrong. In fact that kind of allegation, or cross-allegations, are exactly why arbitration happened in the first place. So to say that "no wrongdoing was acknowledged" by Twitch is somehow evidence that Beahm didn't do anything is just plainly, simply, wrong. All it means is that Twitch refuses to acknowledge that Twitch did anything wrong, and Beahm refuses to acknowledge that Beahm did anything wrong. It's a shield against liability in the future, and the reason there is a mutual acknowledgement of this kind is because both sides had claims against the other. Thus, neither side will admit that those allegations (AGAINST THEMSELVES) are true, and they deny any wrongdoing.
