My stepdad had a boat just like her just smaller only the mizen was gone. ALBERT LN 147, WoW that was 50 year ago. Where does time go 🤷‍♂️😂✌️🇬🇧

i was on board at the time, and the bbc article makes it out to be a much more dire situation than it was. the real issue was that the weter from the leak, which was in the stern, was not being filtered through to the main bilge as it was supposed to but was accumulating under the engine meaning there was the possibility of it cutting out if it got too high. this is why the lifeboat was called. the lifeboatmen who came on board helped us set up a deck pump but we pumped the water out with our own equipment and got into newlyn under our own power.

Great to get a first hand report ... it's quite revealing and disconcerting isn't it, how the BBC 'reports' when you are in the story. Good to hear it was all manageable. (NB - I am involved with Provident, labour and crew)
