My husband (RIP JERRY) and I hitched hiked from Miami Florida USA in the early 1970's to Cape Cod Massachusetts where we picked up a Honda 350. Added a back bar thing where we strapped on our sleeping bags and gear. Off we went heading west through the White Mountains making our way alongside the Erie Canal. Eventually making our way into Pontiac, Michigan where we wintered over. I was barely 16. Mid summer made our way back to Miami. Realizing we were doing it backwards we changed tactics and spent winters in the south, summers in the north . Did that for a few years finally finding a beautiful place in the southern end of the Shenandoah Valley putting baby roots there for a few years. Once you're bitten by the wanderlust bug there's really no cure. We ended up separating and I spent the next 30 years not traveling the world but living in various countries on quite a few continents learning different cultures and such. Now I'm old and you Miss Loralee have been taking me along. Love your excellent superbly done videos . Thank you so much. Keep riding be safe be free! 💕

Don't you dare jinx it :-). Still vividly remember the suffering of mirrors in other parts of our beautiful world. She's a hard task master, our world. Wild, untamed and gloriously dangerous. One mistake and you can be happy if it's only a mirror which has to book it. But on the other hand, I've been following Mrs. ItchyBoots for quite a while now, and I've seen her growing skill. Used to be insecure in Sand in the beginning. Or on rocky surface. NOw? Aside from a bit of "complaining" (is she of viennese origin in secret?) she just blasts through and has her way with all those gnarly tracks. With her, you know, the saying fits: If you've got it you've got it.

It's Itchy Boots coming around the clubhouse turn, and there's the sign: 15km to Livingstonia. This Road Not Maintained. Experienced Enduro riders only. And Noraly busts right thru the impasse and lands safely at the Mushroom Farm. Alaska only suffered minor loosening of nuts and bolts. Noraly, do you know how to use a "jam nut" or double lock nut? You get the first nut where you want it, then tighten another nut up against it. Once you have things exactly where you want them you hold the inner nut run the 2nd one up against it and really put the hurt on the outer one. It won't come loose until you want it to. Even those elastic top lock nuts with loctite won't hold like a double locked "jam nut." Big Shout Out To Mandy!!! Thank you for taking us along. ben/ michigan

Tech tip for Noraly, if there had been large metal washers on each side of the rubber grommets the unit could not have come off even if you had lost a couple of bolts. As it was, once the fasteners came off one side, the whole unit just came loose. Great job, none the less.

Hey there Lucinda! Yes such a cool accommodation on the mountainside for sure. When we think of some places she has laid her head at night, this was lovely! We've seen Noraly happy but she was absolutely glowing during her narrative right after the intro. Happy exponentially. Weird but when she is so happy, nothing can rain on my day! Peace!

So glad you got to see Mandy on your ride, always great to see close friends we whenever you can. These roads are terrible, almost made my desk bocce around watching you... Great job fixing the tablet, you are becoming quite the improv mechanic.

Those of you who have not driven with a camera should know that what you see on video is much nicer than in reality. So Noraly is an incredible motorcycle driver

Everything is nicer except wet weather, it's all yours. Noraly does a sterling job in the wet and the mud, hats off to the girl.

You're such a great rider Noraly. I see the things you're going through and I get anxious for you, but you make it look easy. Amazing Vids and ride today.

That was some skilful riding up that mountain track. The tougher it gets the more Noraly rises to the occasion. Not only that you have to give huge credit to Honda for building such a durable machine. Cheers Noraly.👍👍

Amazing terrane. Oh, the roads you have traveled in Africa, Noraly! Deep soft sand, floods with mud, and in this episode full of sharp rocks. Yet, you and Alaska prevail!! True, this road is insane. I'm glad you made it through!

No comment, just pure fun to watch. Thanks for all you showing us.

Really it's a technical road not for beginners. This adventure has taught me that life has two sides of a coin. The more you flip the pages of the book, the more you increase knowledge. God bless you Noraly!

I also ride a motorcycle here in Brazil, but riding with Noraly is a lot of adventure in addition to being very professional.

Oh, it was a crazy 😬 road, but it's not hard for the strong girl Nouraly, to melt rocks with her charming smile as she does to us every Sunday and Wednesday 😅 ❤

Wow what a ride the first half up the mountain looked more like a riverbed not a road! I wish I could remember the mountain pass you climbed,I think season 3 or 4 the rocks and Boulders were huge, somehow you always make it,weather swamps, crazy bridges jungles, Rocks, mud,it never stops you. I love your attitude I'm sure it plays a big part of getting you through every adventure.I always look forward to every new episode to see where we are going. ❤ my "itchyboots" !!

It’s cute how you keep encouraging and cheering Alaska on. “C’mon Alaska! You can do it Alaska!” With you, it can do it!

"So with Alaska now sorted…" **Peeep** 🤣 If you put Loctite on the nuts behind the washers, this really should last. 💪 Vibrations get all unsecured bolts lose sooner or later. I remember a friend of mine and his 250cc two cylinder Suzuki, how he drove away and I saw the license plate lose a screw and start dangling on the remaining one. 🥳 And: _Mandeee!!1!_ 🤗 The most frequent co-star on this channel! ☺ At first I thought her CRF would turn out to be the fixed Savannah. …that new way you wear your hair looks really good, by the way! 😍, 🤗!

I liked the video.Gave you a big thumbs up.Wait,wait...before I see you in the next video...RESPECT LADY!!! I have watched a video a while ago from a KZbinr who is travelling Africa clockwise and who now is in Namibia who has travelled the SAME mountain in Malawi up to the same camp/hostel.. He rides a Tenere 700 and ALMOST gave up after 3 or 4 km's . Some local guys came and encouraged him to go up the mountain. It took him a few hours and much of complaining, complaining after he arrived in the dark. I think it' the place where they have a bath tub placed in the open which can be heated by a fireplace on which it sits. And you can have a bath viewing the lake. BTW, there is a small jewellery on the way to Livingstonia.Nice art pieces with local themes. on the way over the mountain and not back this terrible "road".Worth a visit. Thanks and safe ride.
