@FC_mania Жыл бұрын
I think it’s best to wait until the Black Frieza arc for something like that. Given Vegeta’s failure to use Ultra Ego and destruction to their fullest against Granolah and Gas, he’s chosen to start training himself in the other direction during Superhero, nearly identical to Goku’s UI fundamentals Not relying on power alone, calming down, and expending his energy only when necessary. We’ve seen glimpses of this path to power with cell saga Super Vegeta, his Yardrat Training arc, and even back to how he first unlocked Super Saiyan. When Vegeta finally moves past the man he used to be and accepts himself as the protector of planet earth, something great will awaken from him.
@ProjektTaku Жыл бұрын
Ultra Ego is currently incomplete, Vegeta still lacks his personal "X" factor like Goku before awakening True Ultra Instinct. He even says he's not a destroyer who can give it all up like Beerus.

It's funny how Ultra Instinct is an extension of his training goal from the original DB, and people are mad that he didn't go the Primal route, I mean I love Super Saiyan 4, I really love it, especially in the design department, but the way Carthu explained the road to Ultra Instinct, it showed that UI is truly fitting for Goku. I'm sure if they fixed the parts of him being "overconfident" and dumb, people would've been more comfortable with Super Goku. Nice video, Carthu. You're surprise us with another piece of gold. Also, am I dumb or did you shelf "What of Gohan was more like Goku?"

Agreed. SSJ4 is a cool form tied to Goku and Vegeta's Saiyan roots, and even ties further back into Goku's brief moments of tapping into his Oozaru form like in the original Dragon Ball (such as during the Penetration attack that Kid Goku used to kill Demon King Piccolo). However with Super's current direction for their characters with Goku's Ultra Instinct, Vegeta's Ultra Ego, Gohan's Beast, and Piccolo's Orange... The only person SSJ4 would truly fit if introduced today would be Broly given his Ikari form already channels the power of the Oozaru so it feels like a proper extension of Ikari.

I like the concept of goku's time with Roshi being an important/essential factor as to why he was the first out of the cast to reach ultra instinct/be able to unlock a power like this at all. That roshi's mantra stuck with goku, subconsciously or consciously, and his time with roshi is part of what allowed goku to tap into his emotions and truly become as calm as can be, despite all the rage he's felt by tapping unto his saiyan heritage with super saiyan.

I think the overconfidence thing isn’t saying that he is like frieza with a massive issue in that area but that at the level of combat he is engaged in with whis, even a slight overconfidence can be a glaring flaw. I could easily be wrong but I think the idea was whis pointing out he has moments of overconfidence holding him back not necessarily an ongoing attitude of overconfidence. Overall loved the video. Great channel and first one I came to for what ifs. While I tend to enjoy salad sayain more now, I always thoughts yours were the most accurate I saw. Still go back and watch em every now n then.

I agree with tour view on this. Goku isn't arrogant or cocky in the way Frieza, Vegeta or Cell were, but he still has moments of cockiness where he wants to show off, test his opponent or simply overestimates his own ability. I feel like this is one of his biggest mistakes against a lot of his opponents. Whis is trying to teach him to be efficient with his power and at the level they're fighting, a bit of overconfidence can have big consequences.

It's probably vain of me to write this, but I'd like to do so in case someone may read it. I was a martial artist, through twenty five years ago, until a disease took me from university as well as martial arts. Struggled for years, and gave up many times, because my body had. It was the DAMN BOOKS AND EVEN VIDEOS like yours just now that kept me going. The studies written, WRITTEN not taught, by the masters. Couldn't go meet them, so I tried to find answers to where I'd failed, in the Bible, the great works of the East, anywhere. Took a long time before I heard anything. Obviously that fault was Divinity, Hope, God, and every other Capital Being that I can think of. (I'm being facetious. The God I know is going to deal with me. AND He has a sense of humor otherwise I wouldn't be here) We learn nothing from being spoken to unless we're listening. We can't be taught by the greatest master unless we're a student present towards them, and life is going to kill us without decision unless we understand. And we can give nothing that's not ours. Tools can be used for anything. Martial arts are meant to teach us that everything we are is infinitely more than what we suspect at first experience, and our moral choices... those things that can easily lead to our deaths, THOSE are what martial arts are about. They are painful lessons, collated by long lived and ancient people who have suffered great and deep pain. Parents. Messengers. Those who are willing to share the most painful answers, to those who show up able to ask them. It hurts to care and to strive far more than to crave and starve. But only the student knows that. Thanks to the master. smiles almost joking The guy at the top of the hill who says with a witty smile or even a turtle shell on his back "No boys, I got up here and had no idea how to get down." If he hadn't said that, you wouldn't listen. And it's the most takin' a piss thing to say, Great video mate. Great vid.

It never occurred to me before that Mr. Satan is what Goku and Krillin could have become if Roshi hadn't taught them to be humble! Mr. Satan is legitimately a gifted martial artist who is stronger than almost all humans, but thinking that there was no one better than him is what made him stop improving. He could at least be on the level of the human z-fighters if he had met constant challenges that actually inspired him to grow instead of just deciding he was the best and taking it for granted.

Even tho ultra instict is a new form, its arguably my favorite because it's a form that is not reliant on generic heratige, and is a form that embodies the lessons and mantras goku learned in the original Dragon ball, and from Master Roshi in general. Its one of the reasons I claim that Roshi unlocking ultra instinct first makes some level of sense, even if it can feel like a big joke at times with roshi taking on universal threats on his own. But, likewise, I still feel like its a transformation befitting of/for Roshi and especially Goku with his journey up until now and how that was influenced by his humbe beginnings. And morals that to some degree he still tries to stick by to this day. To varying levels of success and genuineness.
