@@FreakZoneGames Wonderful! I played the OG 8 Bit game on teh Amstrad CPC... Was Bloody hard but fun, and amazingly - It was that which got me into watching The Movie! I then managed to find The Rocky Horror Interactive Picture Show at a Local Pound Shop... Wish I still had it, It was fun! HARD but fun! (Took me a week to get in the Mansion! Eddie kept killing me!) I am really looking forward to this!

I normally don't have time for video games anymore but I was browsing the eshop last night and found this, was shocked to see it exist, instantly purchased it and completed the game in one sitting with pure joy. Seeing the Freak Zone logo I thought, "oh wait, isn't this the developer of the AVGN game?" I knew I was really in for a treat. This is a huge love letter to Rocky Horror fans. The 8 bit soundtrack was awesome and somehow the whole game just works! I loved the little references to other NES games. Thank you for making this!

I say this game is GREAT. It depends what you expect from it as to whether you’ll agree with me. I’m 45! I remember the early platformers on 8 bit. This is like them. So no collectibles, no customisation, no microtransactions (yay!) it’s just really simple platforming (there is challenge, but it’s gentle) which plays really smoothly - personally, I’ve seen zero glitches. There’s no switches in gameplay style at any point - Brad, Janet and Scotty all play relatively similarly. It is ace that it follows the story of the show with a few extra jokes which made me laugh (Rocky’s comment on his own talking, for example) and it’s clearly been made with love, skill and a huuuuuge knowledge of rocky horror. It is not a modern game. It cannot be judged by modern game comparisons. Its variations on a theme with limited enemies and no huge surprises at any point, and that suits me fine. The bosses (rocky, twice against frank and - the best one - Eddie) are fun and well animated. I love all the 8 bit music. I recently played (and loved) the garbage pail kids game. I love this more. The levels are shorter, but still of sufficient length. Garbage pail kids adds collectibles in an attempt to make it more contemporary, but I prefer the straight forward gaming on here. You dive in, do what’s required, nothing is confusing or fiddly. If you’re 40 or older and want a left to right side platformer about one of your favourite shows, this is perfect.
