Charlie is so smooth and effortless. From the neck up he looks like he's watching the show and enjoying it. From the neck down he's playing a very difficult drum piece. What a master!
I loved Charlie's expressions. He'd look directly into the camera as if to say, "Can you believe these guys? Thank god I'm the normal one!" 😂

60 Minutes once did a story about Charlie Watts years ago. The interviewer for 60 Minutes was at a horse show and told a few people that a member of the Rolling Stones was in the audience. No one guessed it was Charlie nor did they recognize him. It was that interview where I first learned about Charlie's devotion to his family all those years while the other band members were getting wasted. I also learned that he preferred to be called a jazz drummer in a rock band. He was a class act. Rest in peace, Charlie.

Charlie is just great in this performance. As it goes on at the end he keeps cranking it up a little more. Then he throws in the triplets. It's like Ravel's Bolero. You're torn as to whether you want it to go on forever or scream stop, please stop. Great playing. R.I.P. Charlie Watts.

Four months earlier on May 14th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; and on June 11th it peaked at #1 {for 2 weeks} and spent 11 weeks on the Top 100... It also reached #1 {for 1 week} on May 26th on the U.K. Singles chart... And on June 13th it once again reached #1 {for 1 week}; this time the Canadian RPM Top Singles chart... R.I.P.
