Years ago I bought a bag very similar to this at Banana Republic. I still have it and it’s gorgeous. It’s made in Italy as well. The sales person told me that the bag was made in the same factory that makes Prada leather goods. She said almost all bags made in Italy are made there. The bag was probably $100-200.

I love The Row and I'm very happy to see you reviewing one of their bags. I purchased a preloved Bindle Three earlier this year, and find it be one of my most comfortable hobos. Plus, the quality of the leather and the fine craftsmanship highlight the minimalistic beauty of the bag. I can easily see adding another bag or two from The Row to my collection.

Great review! Another pro I find of having a zipper top is that when traveling in the car if my bag falls over, the contents don’t spill out everywhere. I have a Julia Duren bag that I have had since the 1990s that has a similar size and shape and the wide shoulder straps. It does slip off sometimes, but not so much that it really bothers me. The leather quality is outstanding and why it has lasted all these years. I think The Row bag will be a classic addition to your handbag collection!

May not be for all but my all time favorite was the Celine Gourmette with chain ❤️ I bought the blue suede with gold chain and unfortunately the interior fell apart months later

I agree with you that The Row depreciates in value and it is expensive at retail, but on I find on Vestiaire that the Row Banana bag is near enough the same price as retail! I may as well save a little more and buy brand new.

Looking back at some handbag videos, yours are the best! I have a tough time with straps staying on my shoulder as well, sometimes 2 straps work better because they overlap and grip each other. Love how practical and stylish your videos are, it’s a good mix!

Hi Emma- great time see a new video from you and always love your reviews as they are so honest. I could never afford a designer bag but I admire your taste for the understated, yet chic styles you choose to invest in. From a purely personal point of view, a wider strap, though more comfortable, never has the grip on my shoulder which is annoying if it continually slides off. I do like to have pockets or compartments as it’s so much easier to find items instead of rummaging around for keys etc. One final point is that after my purse having been stolen on more than one occasion ( city living !) I now have a chain attached on my purse on one end which then clips on to an internal zip in my bag. It may not prevent a determined thief from stealing the whole bag but makes a pickpocket’s life just a little harder! Happy autumn 🧡💛🍁🍂

I am inclined to wear my bag on my left shoulder. The zip is the the opposite of your bag, so I find myself wearing my bag ‘the wrong way round’ for ease. Maybe ‘The Everyday Bag’ is designed to be worn on the left shoulder. I think this preference is a fair thing to consider, especially if a prospective bag has an obvious front.

It’s a lovely bag, the slippy wide shoulder strap and very curved zipper I think like you say would be a bit annoying. Appreciate your honesty and thorough reviews as always. Great dupes, I bought the H&M one you’ve listed and it’s a good solid bag 🙌🏻.

That never crossed my mind 😆🙌🏼 it’s an easy fix anyway, you just flip the bag as demonstrated so the tiny logo faces inwards x

Hi Emma - I absolutely love your style and really look forward to your videos! I was wondering if you had any tips or advice on how to care for this type of untreated leather. I recently purchased the Piper bag from The Row and am a bit nervous about how I will protect it from a stray rain drop or other potential damage. Zipper-i’d turn the bag around so zipper sits in front. Easier than switching shoulders-that’s fighting nature😊 Beautiful classic easy bag-very nice.

As a right-handed person, I always wear my bags on my left shoulder. If I access my bag while wearing it, I do it with my right hand. I hadn’t thought about it until watching this video. Seems like maybe this was designed by or for a right-hander, and you’re a switch-hitter.⚾️😊🇨🇦

I personally don’t think woven leather wears as well as non-woven leather. Sometimes that adds to the character of a bag like with Dragon Diffusion but I haven’t bought a BV bag for that reason. I do like the BV Arco though 😍

There are actually 3 sizes to the everyday bag - the small, medium and just the "everyday bag" which is the large size. I have the medium - it looks like you may have the large size?

Interesting, thank you! From the information on The Row website, before this style was removed, it just showed the two and this size of this fits in with their description of the medium so who knows. Either way I love it 🙌🏼

But if you're worried about thieves in the city, you should have the luxury logo hidden against you anyway, which also makes it easy to open the zipper. If you're in the suburbs and want to show off the logo, you'd want to hide the zipper handle for a cleaner look. I think The Row designed it the right way. 😉

Tbh you’d need a magnifying glass to see the logo 🕵🏼‍♀️🤣 However yes as demonstrated in the video, the easy fix is to flip the bag around, it’s just not how I would have preferred it to be for me personally as a right handed person. Obviously lefties would feel differently 😉
