lol everyone saying that these ships are garbage because of the amount of issues have no idea what they’re talking about .. these ships have been tested time and time again, and have proven themselves to be a formidable force.. that being said, these ships are up to 28 years old (the first ship was built in 89’, the last ship built in 2001).. things are bound to break when a ship is that old

Fun fact, those are United States Marine Corps F-35s from VMFA-211. The QE has been operating with a composite US-UK carrier air wing since her inception, as the UK is unable to fill its own requirement.

44:00 the fact that Russian subs could be sailing in the Irish Sea and off the North Atlantic elsewhere in Irish waters, is absolutely terrifying - the Irish navy would be no match for a Russian sub attack, so we Irish absolutely depend on the Royal Navy to defend us 🇮🇪☘️🇬🇧🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️

A bit of over dramatization by the film makers...to keep the public interested it seems. Have you ever been thru the Suez Canal? I hear there's lot of "excitement" for merchant sailors there...😅

Warships get run at the limit on regular basis. Merchant ships putter about. Try running at 20+kts sustained for days with electrical loads for sensors and equipment 24/7 that equal that of a small town. Ex navy nuke speaking.

I repair maritime electronics (but not military) and I have plenty work . Navy ships have a tun of electronic systems, much more as merchant ships. And indeed it is dramatized, like the toxic smoke filling the ship. How the hell they know it is toxic if they do not know the source ?

95% of the total worldwide hostage seizures at sea for ransom occur in the Gulf of Guinea. The information provided in the search results supports the claim that a significant portion of maritime hostage seizures for ransom occurs in the Gulf of Guinea. According to Oceans Beyond Piracy, a substantial number of incidents related to maritime piracy and hostage-taking have been reported in the Gulf of Guinea, indicating the prevalence of such activities in this region. Therefore, based on the available information, it can be concluded that the statement about the Gulf of Guinea accounting for 95% of worldwide maritime hostage seizures for ransom is supported by the search results. The Russians are VERY good at EW (electric warfare), they have formidable submarines as they’ve been in competition with the United States for the past 80 years, but we ALL know their air superiority is nonexistent.. sure, they can throw up a helo, much like the British, but at least the UK has two large, somewhat reliable aircraft carriers with f-35b’s

Why wait 20+ hours to launch helo & drop sonar bouys to detect Russian sub once contact had been lost?? Not a good strategy nor tactical plan!!! Wasted opportunity by HMS. Flawed Plan, during those 20+ hours the Russian sub could have destroyed the undersea cables. It is intuitively obvious to even the most casual military observer, the wait was a mistake.
