a % of gdp shouldn,t have a number put on it. we currently spend 2.3% of gdp on defence. labour and the tories looked at spending 2.5% of gdp on defence but the facts are we need to spend far more than those 2.3 or 2.5% on our defence. if we are to protect this nation and our oversea,s territories then it needs to be at a minimum of 3% but reality it needs to be 4% to really be able do what we need. more ships planes man power in all sides of the military. more air defence more ammunition more tanks. there is so much more that needs to be done with so little time to do it in.

we need a uk defence force protecting the uk , commonwealth and overseas terrortries not europe , un or anywhere else leave that too larger countries to fight over not our wars

Have to pull the SoS up here, the new Labour government in no way has a mandate for anything. They are only in government as the electorate just had a guts full of the Conservative party governing like New Labour, so just didn’t vote. The percentage of the vote that Labour received in the general election actually fell from the last election.
