Its a pity they do not analyze the US military's overall performance since 1900. especially the fact that it only beat Iraq on their own while every other war it has been involved its enemies were already worn out. The war in Afghanistan should also be thoroughly analyzed and asked why did the US military and NATO spend 20 years there and lose to peasants? Its the most humiliating military defeat in the history of warfare.

@@emperor-thesenate-palpatin5954 The USA spent over $1trillion for the war and spent a mere $5 billion on helping in 20 years while the USA was there. Nope. How misinformed you are! Zelensky has pocketed funds from the West to purchase a mansion in Florida and other properties on the Mediterranean coast, as well as a number of expensive cars to suit the expensive tastes of his wife, who is never reluctant to spend a small fortune on clothes in London, Paris, Milan and New York. He is now far more wealthy than when he was after his election. Zelensky himself has been only too willing to unnecessarily sacrifice Ukrainian lives to an unwinnable war - all in the service of Washington DC, who seek to not only exploit unfortunate Ukrainians, but to also allow their multinational corporations to get their hands on the rare and expensive minerals beneath the ground of the country.

In a way, I think Moscow already achieved at least some of their goals. One of them is preventing Ukraine from joining NATO. And that's not going to happen, at least as long there are going to be Russian soldiers in Donbas.
@jeremywillis7139
@jeremywillis7139 7 күн бұрын
@@kamilhorvat8290That’s an interesting point, but the invasion did result in two other nations joining NATO, one right on Russia’s border, so I’d stay that strategically that goal has backfired. Also, joining NATO wasn’t even popular in Ukraine until after Russia invaded. Prior to 2014 Ukrainian popular support for joining NATO was around 30%. It started to rise after the Crimea and Donbas invasions, then shot up after the full scale invasion in 2022 and now sits at about 90%. So by its own actions Russia has created the problem it’s now looking to solve. Ukraine joining NATO is an inevitability at this point, as soon as the current conflict ends.

@@jeremywillis7139 You seem to be fairly ignorant as far as politics and NATO relations are concerned. Even before 2022, both Sweden and Finland had very close relations to NATO. For example, they regularly participated in NATO exercises. Which also means, that their equipment, communications, command structure and military doctrines were NATO compatible long time before they joined NATO. They "de facto" joined NATO in 2014, when they signed an agreement, which allowed them to participate in joint exercises and permits assistance from NATO members in situations such as "disasters, disruptions, and threats to security. You can be sure that war in Ukraine is going to last as long as "Ukraine joining NATO" is going to be on the table. Likely result is complete destruction of this beautiful country.

It is easy for the west, especially the US, to be risk adverse and cautious when nobody is shooting at or bombing your supporters. Most western politicians have never made any tough decisions without consulting their media advisors. Therefore, political survival is the main objective (just like Putin). If we really want to face the facts, western leaders, including the military, don't want Russia defeated, because with no serious adversary, the military budgets dry up and careers end with demobilization. Military strength grows with dynamic tension and unsubstantiated threats. Regarding the media reports and insights, armchair career reporters are risk-adverse and choose to glean stories from second and third party sources, including the enemy press. That is why stories and battle facts, suggesting poor performance, are questionable at best.

This is the first war when the military-industrial complex on both sides has failed because asymmetrical tactics and cottage-trade weapons achieve far more results than traditional and expensive weapons systems. Unlike the world wars of the past, the safe and remote rear areas that once protect all the infrastructure (factories, refineries, power stations, and transportation hubs) are within inexpensive rocket and drone range. Satellite targeting has replaced exhausted aircrews that spent hours in flight to reach 'hard-to-find' targets. The very fact of 24/7 deployment prevents fast repair and/or replacement of the damaged-destroyed facilities and creates a civilian aversion to safely work in the 'war zone'. That is how the war is won.

You can't hit kamikaze fixed wing drones with AA missiles because the missiles costs 50 times more. This problem goes both ways and both sides are suffering but the Russians have more to lose, aka. they have a higher GDP and can thus lose more in actual GDP numbers

The average age of Ukrainian soldiers on the front line is 43 years old. That one fact refutes both the state of Ukrainian morale and Ukraine’s ability to sustain current operational tempo.

Well presented. Ah man. the Ukrani are fighters, are warriors. Nothing but respect. The Russian infantry has got to be entirely totally fed up in the the tactical environment. Russian infantry is very much NOT stupid. They are educated. Yes, it takes time. We will see where it goes.

Thanks Chuck, another great analysis of the current conflict, every time I see you I find myself in total agreement with your content, as you say Ukraine are adapting to each situation as it arises, they are slowly chipping away at Russian assets ,their will come a time when critical mass will overtake them which will lead to there total collapse.Slava Ukraine.

This truthful stuff as can I see. History I hope will record as well as it can this truth in time. Many Americans are on Ukraine's side, I believe like our good military expert here. It is so painful to live this wrong in U.S. politics, too sad, it is immeasurably worst for Ukraine. Keep the faith.

The situation should be so easy for western countries. The Russian military has proved itself to be incompetent. The Ukrainian military has proved itself to be capable, imaginative, effective and able to adapt to situations on the ground and to new technologies. All the west has to do is to keep supplying Ukraine with adequate military equipment and military supplies and Ukraine will win in the end. That means that the war becomes a battle of economies between western countries and Russia and western countries collectively have a vastly bigger economy than does Russia. That economic battle should be a easy win for western countries and thus for Ukraine.

In 1989, Mathias Rust flew a Cessna light aircraft across Russia and landed in Moscow Red Square. Russian air defence did nothing and when jets were scrambled the pilots had no idea what to do. Nothing has changed.

How about a more truthful statement like the American Army's death spiral. It has only won in Iraq since 1900. Every other war the other side was worn down by the time the USA arrived. What is more humiliating defeat in the history of warfare is the US military spent 20 years in Afghanistan and lost to hillbilly peasants, the Taliban.

Excuse me! Mike Johnson felt it was more important to protect American citizens from our border invasion, than Ukraine. It is unfortunate that the Democrats were so eager to ignore there Constitution duty that requires them to put Americans first !!! So in the end, Mike Johnson recognizing the importance of supporting Ukraine, went against our Constitution. Such a difficult decision, pray you will never be put in that position.

nobody in US politics is talking about Europe’s reaction to another Trump term. Americans imagine what Europe does does not affect them. this will be proven very wrong.

The case that Chuck mentioned was on Mile Johnson and not the President. The House and the The Senate are separate legislated bodies and they can stop the President or any bill they want. In this case Maga Moses Mike Johnson on orders from Orange Jesus stopped or halted the bill regarding continuing supporting Ukraine, so get your knowledge in order.

The waning of American support comes from frustration on the republican side with a lack of goals and clear direction. Why would Germany and other western European nations not step up their support? The war seems like a quagmire.
