I’m not sure about America (I’m in Canada) or when this came into effect if it has but my understanding was a woman’s sexual history could not be used in court by the prosecution as 1) it should not matter if the victim is promiscuous and 2) could affect a jury’s concept of the victim and they could not make a decision objectively. Anyone feel free to correct as I am curious and I can’t think of where I heard this from or why.

I grew up wandering the streets of P-town and was an at risk teen at the time. All I can think is, but for the grace of God, there go I. I am so glad that I got out of there, but even more so, that I had the good sense to get my babies out of there and raise them in a VERY small coastal town, where everyone knows everything that you do. It became my own private Mayberry, where I remain today. I am so very glad that this woman was strong and she did not let her horrific experience ruin the rest of her life. She is an amazingly strong woman.

If it means anything to you rest assure if you have any doubt about justice not being served to these kinds of people who end up in prison just know prisoners hate pedophiles and rapists/womanizers with a rage beyond what you could even imagine. We use TV recording services that can record live TV thus you simply pause the TV for a few moments for one reason or another just to return shortly and then fast forward through the commercials. A alternative to that being setting up those same TV recording services to record the show we want to watch even if the TV isn't on and then watching it at a later time where we can simply do the same thing fast forwarding through the commercials. I will say though a exponentially more popular option these days is simply we're abandoning TV and our TV services are coming from online subscriptions where we don't see commercials at all. There is a reason TV companies in this country are loosing more and more customers by the day. Part of it is garbage quality TV shows. But the bigger part of it is the same reason you complained about; we're sick of all the f*cking interruptions! Get on with it already!
