I saw him in Rebel Without a Cause, The Longest Day, and Exodus. It's a shame, of course, that his being gay caused some hardship in his career and that he died violently. I like to think that, had he lived longer, he could--would--have turned in memorable roles in independent films. This is kind of obscene (because John Cazale was so good), but: I could have imagined Mineo playing Sal in Dog Day Afternoon.

The repetition is because the guy who created and uploaded the video wished to make Mineo's life more meaningful and impactful than, in reality, it was. Nonetheless, the video performs a public service because it offers pertinent information about Sal Mineo.

Sal Mineo was one terrific actor who died way too soon.
