I remember where I was when I found out Elvis had died. In my parent's living room and watching the ABC nightly news. My grandma burst into tears over the news. But not as many tears as I have because I don't have a decent garlic press to use when I'm cooking Sam's recipes!

I'm one of your older viewers. I remember Elvis, Princess D and saw the One Small Step for Man. About 20 years ago, I got my high school friends together and road tripped across the south, learned a lot about Elvis on the way to Graceland. Best trip ever. Thanks Sam, enjoyed the entire video, even the bug and your mighty fine Elvis impressions.

I was at my friend David Roth’s home. We were 9 years of age, and we decided it was an appropriate thing to crack open a steel can of Budweiser so we could pay a proper farewell to the King of Rock-n-Roll. Well, since neither of us had tasted beer at that point-in-time, needless to say, one sip was all we partook of as we paid our respects and promptly pull all of our Elvis LPs out and stacked them on our turntable-it was a sad occasion that was followed by a fantastic celebration of his life. ✌🏻

I was twelve and everyone in my family from me to my seventy two year old grandpappy were sad to hear the news that the King was dead. We went to the record store to buy an Elvis album and waited in line half an hour to pay for Live In Vegas. The mall record shop was packed and everybody was shocked that he died so young. I still think it was a great album, I wish I still had it.

How is it that I'm just now seeing this episode? I'm a huge Elvis fan! I was 12 when Elvis died. I was in my driveway playing basketball with some neighbor kids when Mom came out to tell me she'd just seen on TV that Elvis had died. She, too, was a big fan. It was so hard to wrap my head around the fact that he COULD die! Many days of sorrow followed. Anyway, these days I go to Graceland at least once a year and will be there this August 16 for Elvis Week, this the 45th anniversary of his passing. Y'all should go to Graceland sometime! There's a lot to see and do.

I was 12 years old, visiting my grandparents in Mesa, AZ when Elvis died. I vividly remember hearing the news on the radio as we were driving to go play putt-putt golf. Grandpa was driving his '72 Mercury Marquis, my dad in the passenger seat and me in back. I had been "testing" the cigarette lighters in back and burned my finger really bad right before the radio guy said Elvis was dead, so it was a very memorable double-whammy. Interestingly, I also remember riding in the back seat of my parents' '65 Bug when I was 5, crossing the Golden Gate bridge as the sun came up over the Sierras when the AM radio announcer said, "The Beatles are back together again, and here's their latest single, 'Here Comes the Sun'."

I was 13yo delivering Avon on my bike for my grandma. I knocked on a lady's door, she came to the door crying, she told me that Elvis had died. I cried as I rode my bike back home. I was in high school when John Lennon died. My teacher was a rocker and had a ton albums in his classroom, we always listened to music when we were working. I don't remember how we all found out but it was during his class. We all cried and listened to the Beatles the rest of the period.

My fiancé and I was told about your channel about 1.5 years ago and now we can’t get enough of your funny attitude and sarcasm 😂We’ve made so many recipes. We make the ribs very regularly! Keep doing what your doing!

Hey Sam, you really nailed this one! But that is what is expected of '77 graduates, the best year. A toasted peanutbutter, bacon & banana sandwich was a holiday treat, many years ago, when my parents took us to the Natal (Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa) South Coast on annual vacations. I'll be the only guy eating this, but I just HAVE to try this version! Thanks for your channel, love the recipies and the interaction with your crew (obviuosly a younger generation). Shalom, stay safe, healthy & creative in cooking!

Just made this Sam. Turned out great. We used strawberry yogurt as a condiment and it was delicious. We often make two or three of your recipes a weekend. Thank you.

OH MY DEAR GOD, i know there are a lot of people who love to watch these kinds of vidoes because they are fun to watch and don't really cook for themselves very often, please don't skip this one, please make it, the fried banana fritter is soooooo F-ing good and could be added to soo many different things and it is seriously worth making at least once.

I remember I was a kid in the back seat of my parents car on our way to go camping when the news that Elvis had died came over the radio, my dad was shocked. Currently we are stuck in lockdown here in Australia and all we have to do is replicate your recipes which is helping keep us sane, we would love a garlic press for our kitchen :) We love you guys and you really do brighten our life with your channel.

I grew up listening to Elvis because of my grandma. We would hit up a little breakfast spot that had a jukebox, and I would play Elvis before I sat down. I forgot all about that until I read through the comments and saw similar things. I don’t like banana, but I might have to try it for this.

I was in the car with my mom waiting at the lights by Taco Bell in San Lorenzo, California. I'll never forget that day. Devastated!!! Got my first Elvis Album when I was 8. Listened to it on repeat...Girls Girls Girls was my favorite back then. True Elvis fans will know that song.

Love how you think outside the box when cooking and not only made banana fritters but you straight up went with cornflakes for the crust.
