There was a famous Chinese chef in London called Ken Lo who said virtually every western stew would benefit from a tablespoon or two of soy sauce. He was right. I put it in coq au vin, poulet chasseur etc. Just don't tell your French dinner party guests.

Hello Sam all the way from Ontario, Canada! I’ve been watching your channel for about 18 months now, and have ALWAYS been curious about adding soya sauce for flavour.. Last night I had the chance while I was making dinner to use it (the goulash recipe I was using called for it) and I turned to my girlfriend and said “ Wow i’m finally getting a chance to use this like STCG always says on his channel!” And all I will say is I plan to use soya sauce much more than I do now in the future! Thanks for the great food and videos as always 👌🏻🤤

The bread is pronounced "bo-lee-yo" and what you created is a pre masticated "torta de asada" Not sure how I feel about the concept, but I bet it's delicious. Having said that, I'm going to try it this weekend.

When I make my carne asada tacos (older son's favorite) I use lime juice, fajita seasoning (in a packet... just easier) and (because I saw you do it a couple years ago) soy sauce... it's frickin' amazing and as long as I get it a nice medium-medium rare and slice it right, it makes wonderful tacos. Thanks for that, btw!

On a side note cause this seems to pop up here often. Sauce is sauce. Dressing is dressing. Adding a sauce or dressing is just 1 component of many components. Making it yourself lets you add the layers of components you decide. Key word, you. Whatever you like, you do you. Its suggestive and that is implied. Naming is universal to the overall. There isn't a taxonomy food list. Adding ranch doesn't "Cowboy up" a salad or anything. Its just a median people. Flavor is named in certain circles after the bulk of the design. We aim for tasting great. We aim for making something and sharing your creation. If it tastes great, then its right. I just call it food. No fancy naming here on my end is going to convince me when food is concerned. Not worth the label or the controversy anymore with these judgemental toxic people that replaced humans on this planet. A sandwich, a salad, a pasta, takes care of the haters and is just fine by me to decide if I'm interested in it. They really hate it when you don't label everything so they can complain about the label you put on it doesn't match their label cause only they can label. Food taxonomy can suck it. If they ask for seconds they are too busy shoving food in their face to complain with their mouth full. If you name it they say its wrong cause only their label is all that ever matters to them. Screw the labels, they complain why didn't you label it. Didn't label so you could complain it wasn't labeled of course. Those kind of people are so predictable. Its food, shut up and eat it, or don't. It's not rocket science. Add, don't add. Label, don't label. Just cook and eat, and chew with your mouth closed. They just aren't happy with their life and want to make other peoples lives suck as much as theirs. This is a no sucking zone. We swallow here. :) go ahead Max you can say it. I wrote that part just for your favorite one liner. Seriously, just cook and eat. No sense eating with an upset stomach. Food tastes better when you don't sour it with hate.
