Khanyisa, the poor little phant, she was too young to know how to handle the unfamiliar smell of an unfamiliar creature. Thank God that the older phants know how to handle it and go so out of their way to protect her. She is such a lucky phant to have older members of her kind love and protect her, and to have a team of sanctuary staff also love and protect her. Except for the tumultuous start very early on, she has had a great life

@@alvexok5523 I can't imagine this happens that often; that a little one (or big) adjusts so well. Having a best friend in Lammie and a routine, was key. I loved how one big guy would leave the herd to say hello by themselves. In a situation like that, what do they have? Except for one half dead stand alone tree. If all hell breaks loose...And the Humans need to flee...All of them can't fit in that one tree. And what is a tree to an elephant (let alone a whole herd of them) anyways? All they can do is rock and destabilize the tree and then push it over. But noooooo. All these crazy brave heart nerves of steel superhuman angel People...Stay there. Calmly and reassuringly talking the Elephants down. The Elephants come over to check on them, do their further assessment of the situation. And eventually the moment passes. Felt so sorry for Khanyisa when she ran off; first time I have seen her so scared. This herd is amazing! They are a true, loving caring family....adore them 🤗💕 Making sure their human family were okay... that really got to me too 💕🏴

I loved the fact that Jabulani came to check on the humans followed by Tokwe. I didn't realize that Khanyisa was afraid of Rhinos. And she is growing up fast. I guess she is too grown to say where she is going, leaving her "bedroom" and stepping outside for a while.Lol😂 And I always wondered, how does the carers get to the camp? Do they walk, does someone drop them off? I rarely see vehicles out there.💖
@hermisadventures81422 жыл бұрын
i loved that too!!!! they know they are their humans so it likely is only natural for them to check.... if you look close at tokwe's eyes when she checks on adine after getting closer, you can actually see them soften back up.. so remarkable

Mambo is practicing to be a dominant bull one day he is always ready to try to scare other animals off. I love how protective they are and she is at that age where she will call for help like Timi used to do.

Lammie seems very intelligent and receptive in picking up and understanding what's going on, maybe some animals are sometimes quite understimated by humans, like sheep… How well the herd takes care of and protects all members

Oh my goodness! That was awesome! I'm sorry Khanyisa had such a fright but it was wonderful to see everyone come running to her rescue! What a beautiful sight! So much love and respect for each other! Such awesome animals! And the carers responding much in the same way the elephants did is also wonderful! Adine, you are such a beautiful person! Thank you HERD, thank you!!!

I’m always amazed at how quickly the herd jumps into action to protect the baby of the group and that they look out after each other. They possess qualities I wish people had. Thank you for all you do for them. Ii love watching khanyisa go after sweet potatoes. They are all so special. I pray God watches over all of you and everyone stays free from predators. Especially man. 🙏😘🥰🤗

For the 2 elephants who came to check on the humans, I found that interesting. I am sure part of it was to make sure the other part of their “Herd” is OK but I wonder if part of it, was to pick up on the human vibe - if the humans whom they trust are calm, then there is no danger. That was, maybe, the vibe coming from Tokwe. I love these videos but I don’t really know elephants. It’s amazing how much elephants can communicate just by their stares.

I love the calm & peace the handlers bring back to the herd. Also love that the elephants come back to check in on their humans just as the herd would its own. These majestic creatures have total trust in their humans too. Beautiful to watch 🐘🩶

Khanyisa is so blessed to have a family like the Herd Family. It is so heart warming to see how much the elders care about little girl Khanyisa. Elephants are so much more caring than human family. Just amazing! Thanks for the wonderful videos. They are priceless.
