I just found this channel. I'm very grateful for these audiobooks. Knowledge is one the best things in life we can get. My suggestion would be for you to add a PayPal donation link in the description of the channel so we can donate e support the channel. The link you have to donate in the description isn't working. PayPal would be easier. Just a thought. 😊

Wonder when this book was written? The style makes me think as early as the 30's, but I think that's partially just the age of the authors, so, maybe 50's-60's? It's certainly exhaustive enough to keep MY interest! :-) One thing I get a kick out of is, with so many readers, you get folks who correctly pronounce, or mis-pronounce, different words between them. I'm no English major, but I do happen to have a large technical vocabulary. (I make up for this by being bad in math. Pretty sorry state for someone so interested in physics and such). So anyway, I know a shitload of tech words, and get a kick out of how some people pronounce "rheostat" or "coulomb" or "capacitance" or "ratiocination".

"Mummies often found in the great chamber of the pyramid." How often, exactly? There are only 3 pyramids in Egypt, and then a big number of mastabas are mudbrick tombs. No Mummies have ever been in any of the 3 pyramids of the Cairo complex.

Unfortunately the narrator stumbles too much on pronunciation, having not done sufficient preparation. Also within the the first 20 minutes there seem to be erroneous suppositions presented as facts or misread. So I gave up at this point.

Apparently published in 1909-some concepts disproven since then 🤷🏼♀️ Science changes as new discoveries/technologies are put into place (I was confused when it said Pliny died in 29AD Pompeii, because when I toured it they said 79AD)
