Emersyne Men/women are not the same as white/black. In 2019, what rights do men have that women don’t? In many areas the law is more lenient on women than men. I don’t look around thinking men have all the perks. And (referring to America) what opportunities are blocked for women? Women can go for STEM, women can work around the clock and go for the CEO jobs, women can be the airline pilot not just the stewardess....they chose not to. And they will say, girls aren’t encouraged. Never in my life has someone told me I couldn’t do something because I’m female. I’m sick of hearing women’s excuses. They wanted equality with men, have realized the grass wasn’t always greener and still complain. I love how an Oceans 8 actress complained the low sales prove how sexist we are. Um, maybe I don’t want to spend money on a movie I’ve already seen, but just with women now. How about a new idea? And feminist win either way. Either the movie is a financial success, yea, let’s make more all female movies, or it fails, and they get to be perpetual victims.

@Maisunadokei1856 - That's a complete fucking crock in Western countries nowadays. You're talking about shit that happened before the 70's. I don't know one single person in my age group (70's kid here) who's parents told them what career they should choose. In fact every single girl I went to school with, beginning in grade school, was never influenced by their parents. Quite the contrary. The parents told them to pursue whatever the fuck they wanted. And if they chose something technical, then the parents were actually quite thrilled with it. The fathers were often so impressed that they would openly advertise how proud they were of their daughter going into engineering (for example). Even our grade school teachers encouraged kids to pursue whatever they were interested in. Boys and girls were treated equally in terms of education and setting goals. I went to school with a lot of girls who had much better grades than me in almost every subject, right up until university. They got 90%+ in almost everything. This modern PC and SJW fucked up mindset is trying to brainwash people into believing that they are being "told" what "not to be". You can't force people to have an interest in something. Generally speaking far more men are interested in technical things, that's our natural genetic makeup. We're born like that. Women generally have a far superior talent and interest for design and colours. That's why men usually suck horribly at decorating. Nobody "told" girls to be better at this, they just are by natural design.

steve escher Machismo is the reason men DO love going to work (women also love going to work, btw), men DO love going to war, and men love the idea of being physically superior to someone, so they’ve made a society where they have someone to protect. Women didn’t even have the right to work until 1920. Men held them from work until then. Women weren’t allowed to fight for their country until law passed in 1948. Men kept them from the military. Men made women into dependent and weak people who had to do their best with their place in society. So please save your “poor me, I’m a man who resents the place we put women in.” I’m hopeful for the future, where women are slowly stepping out of these social constructs, and stepping out of men’s shadows. I have a question. How do males and females bond with each other? I don't see how men and women can bond (especially romantically) with each other. Women can build incredible friendships and become very close to each other in a way men can't bond, and science shows that women can bond very well with each other. Generally, women are even more social than men are. After something bad happens, a woman quickly rushes to talk to all of her female friends to get support, whereas a man can isolate himself and grief alone. Women tend to be more emotional, more caring, more empathic, more compassionate, more affectionate, more loyal, more nurturing, more understanding, more sympathetic, more sensitive, more kind hearted, more peaceful, more calmer, more gentle, more expressive, more intuitive, and more outward than men are, and thus bond more with other women in a special way that they can’t with men. Men, on the other hand, are not that emotional, and thus can’t bond with other men in a special way. Women are more comfortable being around with other women than they are with men. They have a type of bond that usually men with women won’t really have, or with men and men.

He worked better than me but didn't get any praise because of what's between his legs?" My teachers just answer "we gotta encourage women in our fields, make them feel welcomed" Like we're gonna be welcomed if you're splitting us from the rest with total unfairness... Funny thing is : my brother studies law, which is equaly as dominated by women as my field is dominated by men. Still no one praises him for being there, no one cares that gender repartion is unbalanced, no one want a 50/50 there. Because it's prestigeous and classy. You are also rare, but sound like a beautiful person with your ability to self reflect. Women have always been a strong part of the family and social structure but feminists lied to everybody to say we didnt appreciate them before. It was always ok for the occasional woman to stray from motherhood as Womens history month shows. (Which to me ironically invalidates the holiday as they say women werent equal, then show women doing things they say women werent supposed to be able to do) But the reason it was so rare is that society dies if most women arent having babies, so the women who wanted babies and could care for them were the ones to pass on the genes for that. Women who didnt and werent good at it didnt pass on the genes. Its so obvious.

The irony is she kinda is demonstrating certain tendencies of female behavior and thinking. Women tend to have a more difficult time holding and analyzing more than one abstract concept in their minds at once, which is necessary to check for consistency between them. They tend to think more in terms of "what benefits/makes me sound good in the moment". That's why she contradicts herself so often. She's not trying to figure out the truth, she's trying to make her beliefs sound good/reasonable. Men do it too, sometimes, but less often and less often in this manner. Men have their own set of tendencies when it comes to sophism.
@boboddyb22175 жыл бұрын
The differences Stossel mentioned are either irrelevant or nurtured by society. Spacial awareness is a trait that has massive overlap and while men are generally better at it than woman, due to crossover it's retarded to say every single man will be better at it than every single woman, especially since it's something you can get better at it. Something like physical strength is a sex difference and is relevant because men with training will always be better than woman with training. "Looking at objects vs people" is utterly stupid. Stossel prescribes meanings to the study when all it was just showing pictures of objects and people to babies and seeing for how long they look at them. Of course the overlap is massive and the difference is small but on average men tend to look at objects more than women. What does that really say? Almost nothing. They also misrepresent the whole "we can easily distinguish between male brains and female brains". That's because there are phyisical differences in brain structure that don't say anything about gender, just the structure of the organ itself. Women have smaller brains compared to men, men have larger amygdalas, they have different amounts of grey matter in different places. You cannot distinguish *gender* by this, only sex. She puts the two together because these differences really don't matter anymore, we don't hunt or track in small societies where survival is our greatest threat.

@Whatever161675 жыл бұрын
@Liberty AboveAllElse Women and men had their little wars way before left wing came to power.
@Whatever161675 жыл бұрын
@Liberty AboveAllElse One of major reasons is because divorce wasn't a thing in the past or at least it wasn't as popular. This means even If both partners were unhappy with each other they stayed together anyway. Now nobody wants to force themselves into staying in disfunctional relationship. Besides many people in the far past were getting married because it was economically advantageous, now they focus more on the actual relationship, not only the money or reproduction.
@Whatever161675 жыл бұрын
@Liberty AboveAllElse Give me the details about the survey. Was it only about relationships or being satisfied with life? You do realise that many different factors are at play here, right? People overall are statistically more pressured and stressed by life now then in the past. Even If they were genuinely more unhappy now about their relationships, what do you suggest as a solution for that? Forcing them into staying in a relationship that does not work out? Or maybe you are one of these people who believes that going backwards in history would help with new issues appearing in society?
@Whatever161675 жыл бұрын
@Liberty AboveAllElse *"whether they are married, single or divorced"* so from what I understand, the drop of happiness has nothing to do with relationships, exactly how I mentioned in my previous comment. Besides, I don't care about winning argument, I only care about reality. Our little talk won't change anything in this world. *"Wolfers and Stevenson looked at factors which in past research had been linked to unhappiness in women, such as marital status, income, educational level, and number of children. But none of these could account for the shift. *“It’s a puzzle,” says Wolfers. “We don’t really know what’s going on.”"* - It seems like the case of the drop in women's happiness does not have a clear explanation yet. The only way scientists tried to explain it: *"“Girls and young women in our culture feel they have to be good at everything-to be great nurturers, successful at work and school, and attractive, all at the same time,”** says Hinshaw. Although depression and happiness are not opposite states, he argues, the trend he’s identified in teenage girls could be connected to declining women’s happiness levels."* - And also there is this assumption that a problem might be on a way bigger scale, not only reaching women: *"Yet some experts believe those survey results have even deeper social roots. As countless studies have documented, Americans have become increasingly isolated from one another over the last few decades. Robert Putnam compiled many of these findings in his oft-cited 2000 book, Bowling Alone, reporting that over the last 25 years, attendance at club meetings has dropped by 58 percent, family dinners have decreased by 43 percent, and 35 percent fewer people have friends over to visit. Just as importantly, other studies have documented a strong link between social connection and happiness, suggesting that as our society becomes more fragmented, we should expect a corresponding drop in happiness levels. And according to psychiatrist Jacqueline Olds, author of the book The Lonely American, women are feeling even more isolated than men. “Women must work very hard to have a secure social network,” says Olds. At home, moms find there aren’t many other women in the neighborhood, and women often don’t find time to socialize at work. As women climb the career ladder, they tend to work more from home, which only increases their isolation. “They’re lonely,” says Olds, “and loneliness makes people unhappy.” Indeed, studies suggests that women may be affected emotionally by social isolation even more than men. In their research on women and stress, Laura Klein of Penn State University and Shelley Taylor of UCLA have found that women reach for their children and seek support from other women when they are stressed, rather than responding in the “fight or flight” pattern common to men. Just being with other women has a calming effect on women, according to Klein and Taylor, and women report more benefits in general from their friendships than men do."* - So basically society is becoming more divided, people feel isolated from each other and since women are generally more social than men and need the emotional support from their friends, it hurts them way more than men. Summarizing, what probably (because it's all assumptions) leads to a drop in woman's happiness is a big mix of too high expectations from society and loneliness (they don't have enough time to socialize).
@Whatever161675 жыл бұрын
@Liberty AboveAllElse You ignored the improvement of technology, which also makes a huge impact on people. They have easier access to everything, including other people, what also impacts the way they create relationships. Marriage is becoming less common, because people don't see much advantage in it anymore. Divorces are higher, because 1. people can leave dysfunctional relationships, 2. they get together too quickly and later they realise that they are not a match anymore, 3. they have different plans for the future and don't want to compromise and so on. There are plenty of reasons for divorce. When it comes to the way people treat each other, women and men should indeed learn how to respect each other, but it's hard in a culture where all that matters is gaining more for yourself (consumerism is at fault here too, people start to view each other on dating apps like products to choose from). There are plenty of different factors at play here. That's why it's not so simple to give just one, clear reason for all of that happening. Liberalism might have it's own faults, but it is not the only and key reason for human relationships to fall apart. Everything in modern times became easily accessible, replaceable. That's why when something doesn't work out, people break up with each other and instantly jump into another person. They have bigger choice, they can do everything faster (thanks to the internet and dating apps). Of course with all that free choice stupid people are now allowed to make stupid decisions, because society does not set up their entire life for them. One might assume that when people are under the complete control and don't have too much of a choice, then it's better for them, because many can't choose wisely for themselves. The other might argue that people cannot be happy without a free choice no matter what. And this conversation goes on endlessly.

Men and women have different brain structures though. And trans people's brain structures look like those of the opposite sex. So a transgendered woman is basically a woman trapped in a man's body, and a transgendered man is basically a man trapped in a woman's body. When a man says he feels like a woman trapped in a man's body, it's because she is. She may have grown up as a man, but she knows she's a woman because she doesn't relate to male experiences or anything. She isn't trying to be another gender, she's trying to be who she knows she is. She doesn't really know what it's like to be the opposite gender, a man. Sure, she may have been born with male genitalia, male stereotypes, and the expectations that a male would have. But she never felt like that's who she is. If a cis woman pretended to be a man for a week, she would feel uncomfortable and see it as a joke, because she truly knows she's not a man. So why is it so different if it's a trans woman who knows she's a trans woman, but still needs to pretend she's a man? Well, the main difference is time and that it's not funny when a trans person get's misgendered after being misgendered their whole life, but you know what I mean.

As a man , and a pro woman , i believe men and women are different, yet we are equal in value and deserve equal rights and opportunities. We need to stop gender wars and embrace our differences and learn about each other isn't it interesting

See practically women can't have equal value or respect as men because our specialities are mostly on softer sides we've not done exceptionally good in science, tech, innovation, warfare and politics ..... I think this is unfortunate...... Try if women can think great innovations in future..... This can be a game changer.. But at present it's still not ... The weaker one will practically have less material success and less success means less respect..... This is a very sad reality.....
@SussySusan-lf6fk5 ай бұрын
If you want to give women equal rights at present then it's based on pity.... Not women's skill sets...... I'm a woman too but I tell you we needed a revolution in the past..... An innovative and curious mind.... An interest for developing physical strength..... If we started 500 years ago... We would have a different history today...... But we're starting now so it will take time to develop the skill sets to aquire more material success.......

We do need to remember that there is naturally a lot of variation in interests (like the 1/3 of the girl babies that looked longer at the object than the face). As someone who is gender variant, myself, I can attest to the fact that there are immense social pressures to conform to these averages, even if you naturally fall outside of them. Social norms exaggerate the prevalence these differences beyond what is natural and turn them into stereotypes. We have to keep that in mind when assessing individuals’ abilities.
