Three out of 5 methods are interval trainings just with different efforts levels and rest periods.

Hi Matt!!! Great video man!!!!Kudos!! In the cardiac power intervals method you said "maximum effort work". What do you mean with maximum effort work? 80%-100% of max heart rate? Thank you
@TheMovementSystem
@TheMovementSystem 4 ай бұрын
The highest pace you can sustain for the work duration (ex: 90 seconds) That will typically get athletes to near max HR by the end of the work interval especially on the 4th, 5th, 6th effort.

Sir can I use different exercises for each series at explosive repeats 10:03?

Yes. I would use at least 2 different movements to avoid overuse injuries with too many reps of one exercise.

Great video, thanks for the information! Do you have any information on how long it takes to see significant improvement and for that significant rate of improvement to start slowing? For example (with made up numbers), a recreational athlete might see a 20% improvement after 3 months, but that 20% improvement every 3 months cant go on forever and eventually it will slow. It would be nice to have a rough idea if it is after 6 months, 2 years, 5 years? Thanks again!

Any data on the impact the stress response elicited from getting punched in stomach or kicked in the face? Is this the equivalent response provided by smelling salts, maximizing training intensity? - Not a MMA fighter, nor a boxer, not even that into roshambo.

yep. exercises to do zone 2 training are limited if you want to properly do them - indoor versions of common cardio (run, bike, swim) work best

I would argue that using different exercises are best for the Intervals because you can go all out. For example at the sled or boxing bag.

I know endurance athletes have the largest chamber volumes by far and that they do huge amounts of Zone 2 with much less HIIT. Is the main reason we need much more Zone 2 because the heart just simply can't fill entirely above Zone 2? Would it be safe to say that Zone 2 is superior to increase the VOLUME of blood that fits in the chambers? While HIIT is only superior for increasing the amount of that blood that can be EJECTED? Why do you think most HIIT research claims superior increases in cardiac output and stroke volume?

yes its 100% true that top level athletes across all sports are using some form of performance enhancing drugs, whether that be during the offseason or in competition. When there’s glory, money, or respect to be gained there are certainly going to be people who will do whatever to get an advantage. Then, the ones on the fence about the morality of using PEDs can easily be tipped when they say to themselves, “everyone else is doing it and i want to win”

@DKYtut

It's being able to fight and grapple for whole 5 whole minutes that makes them elite, you forgot that they do all do this while having a very high base of strength and power output along with fighting skills and whole body muscle endurance. Go do 20 minutes of hard sparring in a combat sport and you will realize it's totally different than jogging for a long time. A marathon runner would be tired after grappling for 1 round but an elite MMA athlete of lighter/ middle weightclasses can jog a marathon allthough ofcourse with a slower pace.
