Ted Lasso is the most life-affirming and heartwarming comedy to appear for years. Not in a twee way, either. Many of the characters have negative traits, but we see them in the round -- brilliant writing, particularly characters like Jamie, Roy and Nate -- their story arcs come full circle throughout the three series.
@stefangranmo3317 Жыл бұрын
I feel that this episode missed the message of Ted’s leadership style. It is not the duality of dominance or mentorship. Ted elevates individuals, not by example or discipline but by caring about them individually and seeing their worth and propelling them upward to their best self.

Both - Lasso propels people through his example. Model the behavior or basic tenet of leadership study, as you may know.

I'm only now starting to realize that Sudeikis isn't just a comedian. Dude's a thinker. I hadn't watched any interviews, really ever, until after the next-to-last episode of season 3 and hearing that it's going to be the end. Of the few that I've watched, this has been the best. And Brendan Hunt's crib! Nice place, total Jackie Treehorn vibe, "completely unspoiled." lol Sudeikis, on the other hand... That office of his looks like a basement closet. lol It was a different vibe seeing them in their own element, their home turf, and not on some set in a more formal environment, and with great questions and contributions from everyone. Good show!

On one of the times I did mushrooms, I pretty much experienced full ego death. During the trip I slowly floated up from the earth and out into space (in real time this lasted about a couple of minutes, but might have been a split second). I kept on floating out into space, and totally accepted the idea of my own death. I was given quite a wide angle look at the universe, and had the sensation of my 'ego/consciousness' expanding to encompass it all. Ever since that moment I have been motivated purely by helping other people as a real extension of myself. What I do, and my motivations aside, I really did float out into the dark universe on mushrooms, and there wasn't any kind of god voice telling me anything, or any sensation that there was a plan, or an architect... but the universe is a real chatterbox.

One day I saw a comedy show listed and just watched it, before bed, no expectations at all, it was called Ted Lasso... what a shocking beatiful surprise, THANK YOU! it's the most inspiring show I've ever watched at the most perfect time. And I got say that, after watching this interview, I wonder if Jason's point of respecting the audience's intelligence is what sets this apart. I'm not a native English speaker and I clearly have my own cultural background, but as he also says, I can watch the show and think, we call that differently but we got that too, and understand many of the cultural references throughout the show even when they are not mine, which at the end of the day just help us all grow as a person. I'm tired of the typical hollywood show where things are explained like if we were all toodlers, or in my case, translations, or more precisely translation companies, sometimes using completely different phrases so that we "can understand" what the characters are talking about... thanks again Jason and team for making such a beatiful show, this was life changing.

I've lost my biggest and best source of dopamine, and have no way to get him to give me a second chance (how does one not earn a second chance after 38½ years of marriage?), or ever replace him. So... I'm in a very dark place, right now. It's not a good feeling. This is worse than I could ever have dreamed of happening. I couldn't ever have pictured him just... tossing 40 years of love in the dumpster, setting it on fire, and walking away. He took away my soulmate, my best friend, and my ability to ever trust anyone again, along with everything else I lost. And Chuck, the "that's marriage" line felt like a dagger to what's left of my heart.

47:00 she just broke it down to the balance like duality. cant have one without the other. too the extreme on any side is toxic but a balance of the two is healthy. i used to think my axiety was a curse and wanted it to go away completly i didnt think about how a part of me wouldnt function properly without a bit of it. so i just need to balance it not ignore or destroy it. i need it. this is blowing my brain up.

A question for Neil: Was the universe a blackhole at the very early stage of the big bang? All masses in the universe have originated from the big bang. So, this suggests that a lot of mass was in fact concentrated in a small region of space, much like a blackhole. If this is the case, can blackholes that we see today, expand and form "modern" big bangs?
