The best part of this story, she has a brother, a half brother: and they are living their lives happy as brother & sister: No money can buy this relationship: it comes from the heart: Rest in Peace Mr Hank Williams:

Hello my name is Sally Ann your story , gave me a lump in my throat. My husband was all country who introduced me to country music.He loved your father's music ,and had all of his records also he took me to the town "s country and western clubs. This was from the middle of the sixties .He would have loved to be able to seen His daughters struggle and not happy about your struggle to prove you were his daughter. I am sorry about the conspiracy, but very happy when the struggle ended. I never new my father. Like you married my soul mate ,I was very fortunate like you. 👍

I liked the tasteful acting of Cathy's story. The real people of the day speaking in their older appearance works well too: and the clever camera work and lighting and angles to get the speakers eyes and heart-felt thoughts. Well done to everyone who took part in this production and so nice to hear that Cathy reconciled with Hank Jr.

@miriammcfarlane6972 After reading the credits, and noticing the numerous French names, I observed that this show was made in Quebec. Although I liked it, as a Canadian citizen, I've really got to wonder, why, how, and who approved the government grant to make this show. Especially when there is zero Canadian content. That being said, I'm happy that Hank William's look-a-like daughter was finally recognized, rewarded her rightful inheritance, and reunited with her brother.

Am so pleased for you ... most importantly that you are the child that both your parents wanted and was proved - that in itself was the greatest victory & blessing. Glad that common sense finally prevailed in the Court hearing. Money has always been the root cause of so much evil in our World and the irony is that when we die we can't take it with us to our grave.

Ive done some family history on many branches of the family tree. Ive been frustrated at missing records and perplexing mysteries but nothing like this story. I envy jett williams her utter determination and resillience right to the very end in obtaining what was rightfully hers. Of course with the help of her husband attorney things were a tad easier than it would have been if he wasnt there. Wishing them a long and happy marriage❤

A fantastic ending to a story full of twists and turns. I'm so happy for Jett that things turned out well for her, NOT primarily for the money she was entitled to due to her being Hank's daughter but because she discovered her roots and her true love. As for the attorney who put down the court's decision as being unorthodox about adopted child being barred from inheriting from a natural parent under Alabama law, he comes across as a huge SORE LOSER!😅

@MaryLove-d5w8 ай бұрын
She did so well investigating this on her own. I’ve no idea why she wasn’t allowed to see the documents that would have told her all she needed to know. I don’t think unless you’re adopted how it must feel not knowing anything about who you are.
@GypsyGirl3178 ай бұрын
I agree 👍🏽 From our perspective now in 2024 it's impossible to imagine how they felt back then. I was born in 1957 so I do remember those closed adoption rules etc, and the pain it caused many people. Only those who have experienced it can truly understand the depth of the emotional impact, and the struggle to gain a true sense of their own identity. 😢 My first sister in law was adopted, and she always wondered why she looked the way she did. It was after her beautiful adoptive parents passed away that she finally sought out her birth family, and that was absolutely amazing and beautiful. She's the spitting image of her birth grandma!😊

@@GypsyGirl317 oh that’s lovely! It’s human nature to want to understand what makes you you. It’s like find the lost piece of a puzzle. I think she was so lucky to having loving parents growing up that really she need to fill this piece of her puzzle regardless of what she found. 👍

So happy for this woman and her husband. The Legitimate child of Hank Williams who was being double crossed by his greedy wife even though he had accepted Catherine as his lawful daughter and had written a notarised contract to that effect that she and her lawyers hid from everybody because they were greedy and unlawful. Quite the contrary of Hank Williams who was a true responsible man and acted like one.

Note to all - ur will must be verified & copied , original with lawyer/firm/ bank who u nominate as ur executor , but u also have a copy handed to a 2nd executor who u trust , both must be signees on the estate accounts this method of employing 2 accountants to keep an eye on each other goes back to Dickens days. Today you can't trust 1 person , 2 many sharks smell dollar blood ! Seen it 1sr hand ! Elderly parents sign main house ova to son & d. In law with understanding that they will move into a decent outhouse on same property ! Once pprs r signed son under pressure from wife kicks parents out on da streets !

@Grace-tc1lq8 ай бұрын
I understand that her adopted mother would be hurt but wouldn’t you always expect that may happen? Usually when an adopted child gets a certain age they are curious and sometimes driven to find out who their biological parents and family are. I’ve seen it in my own family with my nephew. He had a very close relationship with my sister but even that didn’t stop him from searching and trying to make contact with his biological family. More often than not that’s what you see.
