Watching the staff doing physical therapy on these little guys just shows even more how much care, time and dedication goes into the rehabilitation of these animals once they're placed into your hands. As a HUGE fan of your show, I'd just love to say thank you once more for really EVERYTHING that you all do! There's just SO much more behind the scenes than the viewers actually get to see and the sweet animals are so very lucky to have been given a chance to live healthy and happy there @ Vervet Forrest. I've watched all of the seasons all the way through, 3 times now! I just never get tired of it. ♥️

Such a hopeful view of what the Foundation hopes to accomplish for the three little orphans that have just arrived. All is not lost, little ones. The VMF can and will help you. I wonder how dear Floki would benefit from some hydrotherapy , i.e. working his leg muscles in a warm-ish pool ? It helps to restore my positive feelings toward humans , the depth of genuine care and time you easily give to all of the little ones that are so fortunate to have found their way to you. It really is the season of boys, does this affect the dynamics of the troop, or does that happen out in the wild sometimes? These monkeys are all living their best lives because of all of you. Thank you for doing such a fabulous job. It’s amazing how quickly they adjust back so easily when they finally meet mummy’s

I hate to say this but it breaks my heart more to hear of an “ex pet” coming in than a baby that’s mother just passed from an accident,ect I hate that people think it’s ok to try to domesticate wild animals, especially primates and large cats

When you show the gentle physio work, it reveals just how tiny those hands and feet are! Altho the monkeys seem pretty robust in many ways, their tiny arms and legs look so fragile! I am keeping everything crossed that Floki's surgery is a permanent success for him. He's such a tryer! Have you seen anything of the bushbabies since they took off? Really looking forward to seeing more of the new surmango!

The woman from Johannesburg wildlife vet was like a monkey whisperer. All three jumped to her. I have two questions. Do the rescuers like Johannesburg wildlife vet give the Vervet monkeys they receive and later transports to you the same milk formula as you give the monkeys? Is it easy for other animal rescue organisations and veterinarians in South Africa to find VMF/come in contact with VMF? 🤓🏴‍☠️🇸🇪🇺🇦🕊

I could see Chibi wanted to jump into the trap and get at the food but that human with the monkey-trapping monologue was standing in the way. But it was still interesting to see the procedure you have figured out to trap monkeys that are more wary and less greedy.

I’m so excited by my Little Yolanda’s progress! Y’all know she’s my baby favorite this year. Gimli was my other heartthrob and I adopted him. Anyway, I truly believe there will be a special Mommy out in the troops who will protect and love her. Who knows, maybe Jethro would be up to the task. Do you folks have a troop in mind for her yet? The journey she has had because of her injuries has been so difficult. I know it hasn’t been easy for her human Mommy’s either. Josie has done an outstanding job working with her and her arm. She hates baths. Connie has her Hands full.😂 As always Thanks so much to every VMF employee and volunteers! Praying for Lil’ Flokes.I want his surgery to take. It seems like such a daunting task. He will be better. I’m hoping to visit the Foundation in 2024. My dream vacation is to visit South Africa. I’m probably too old to volunteer. But I’d like to. God Bless VMF ❤️

I'll be honest with you, it makes me sad to see the cared for babies freak out over a human worker once their out in the troop. You would think that they would retain some memory of the volunteers helping them get back to health. The caveat is floki seems to get along with everybody and everything.

The goal here is not to receive thanks from the monkeys, but to help them live their lives as true monkeys, free to be themselves in the way nature intended.

Personally I thinks it is an attribute that could be beneficial to humans. When they move on they do so completely, without reservation, if they are young. There are however monkeys at the VMF that were pets past juvenile ages that cannot be introduced to the troops because they don’t know monkey etiquette and are too human focused (they’re in the intro type cages alongside the troops) and then when the VMF staff do manage to get them into a troop they still come to the fence when people are around craving human attention. That’s why you will continue to hear the message, “ideally they should be under 3 months” and “this is …. But we need to watch them because they were an ex pet and like human attention rather than monkeys”
