You missed out the creation of Transjordan which was created on land that was ¾ of the British Mandate for Palestine. Empirical British tactics of divide and conquer. Part of this land was considered part of Greater Syria but there has never been any request for it's return. It was also the sight of the greatest massacre of the people that chose the nomenclature 'Palestinian' in Black September 1970 with the now deceased leader of the P.L.O. Yasser Arafat claiming that 25,000 of them were killed. This was carried out on orders of King Hussein of Jordan, the father of the present king. Unfortunately this land is the secret key to peace in the Middle East. Incidentally, the total of Arabs killed by Israel in more than six wars and all other 'Palestinians' killed by Israel since 1948 till today is thought to be close to double the figure that Jordan killed in Black September. Perspective!

I like how you conveniently missed mentioning the Hussein-McMahon correspondence which is the other side of the Balfour declaration & Sykes-picot, where the British supported the Arab revolt, and promised them self-rule of their dominions. That agreement was never fully realized while the Balfour declaration essentially was realized by the creation of a Jewish state, post-WWII. Hence, why many Palestinians and Arabs felt betrayed by the allied powers. So long story short, colonial powers played regional powers and peoples against each other in order to further their own selfish ambitions in the region.

Yep, they conveniently forgot to mention the British empire agreed to build pretty much an ISIS state after WW1 in exchange for Sheikh Hussein betraying the Ottoman empire... Sheikh Hussein though did not go home empty handed in the end, check out the kingdoms his sons established... As for colonizers, isn't it strange how "colonization" is a word used only when it's done by western powers, when it's done by others this word is not used too often, strange isn't it...

It all started with the assassination of Franz Duke Ferdinand. The fall out of that assassination led to events that are still felt today. Franz death led not only the outbreak of world war 1, which paved way for the Nazis and world war 2, but also created many events that led to treaties that caused complete turmoil in the Middle East. This ultimately paved way to the creation of the Taliban, 9/11, and eventually the creation of Isis. It actually makes me wonder if Ferdinand wasn’t killed would world war 1 happen and ultimately all the fallout that was caused by it?

Another important detail is that Sykes Pico determined the borders and flags of Arab states, something that wasn't too common before the European intervention. So groups like ISIS want to recognize that Jordan for instance, is not any different to Syria in terms of its nationality. The Arabs were used to tribes and villages rather than "states" "countries" which is a western idea of self determination that wasn't so common in the Middle East.

Yeah, as someone who was in Iraq when IS hit the scene, this had little impact as to why IS stood up. Their issues mostly centered around them being Sunni and being marginalized by Shia. Al Qaeda (shia) were miss treating the Sunni and leaving them out of nearly everything. This had more to do with the fact that saddam was Sunni and had oppressed the shia. I conducted the first actual reports of IS now ISIS in the diayala province in 2008/2009. They were fighting AQ in the area and were mostly “The sons of Iraq”. In the end what this boiled down to was the fact that Sunnis were not being represented.

I was assigned a history paper in college on “What was the greatest event in modern history?” Everyone chose things like 9/11 and world war 2. I chose the assassination of Franz Duke Ferdinand. My argument was that events like 9/11, the Cold War, and world war 2 were all fallouts of world War 1, which was a retaliation war for the Dukes assassination. I even added how secret agreements like this in the Middle East were linked to World wars 1 and 2, and the Cold War. I ended up getting an A on the paper

A point of clarification, the British mandate originally covered from the Mediterranean sea to current Iraq. British cut 70+% of that to create (trans) Jordan. The remaining slice was to be Israel. That, post WW2, they were going split again for the remaining Arab and Jewish populations.

They hate Sykes-Picot because it divides arab and muslim inhabited lands between artificial nation-states which were historically united in a califate state ruled by an arab or at least a muslim ruler. Modern borders of Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon never existed before the Brits and the French traced borders. The Brits promised these lands to the Hashemite Sharif of Mekka if he revolted against the Ottoman Turks while they promised Eretz Israel to the Jews in the same time. They created a pretty balagan... At least the Abraham Accords negociated with the leadership of President Trump give me hope for peace in the region!

Long enough to install puppet politicians and quell political dissidents. He tried so hard to make them seem so distinct from one another lol. Loved the video. Here in America most Christian's know next to nothing about Jewish history after 70 A.D. Everything that has happened to the Jewish people has just confirmed for me that they are truly Gods chosen people. They belong in the land and the land, all of it belongs to them. The only mistake they made was not driving out ALL of the Palestinians in 1949 and 1967 respectively. Until the modern Zionist movement in the early 20th century, Palestine was nothing but a sparsely populated Turkish and then British backwater. The Jews started moving back and literally started to make the desert bloom. They started farming, started commerce and industry, brought modern medicine ect. and arabs from all over started moving there for work as all the surrounding Arab areas were hopelessly near medieval, impoverished territories. The arabs resented the jews, taking every opportunity to steal or murder them. There was mostly in Jerusalem, a local educated Arab elite, but they had little to do with poorer Arab farmers and tradesmen. The mufti of Jerusalem was clearly a horrible, evil schemer who cared only for increasing his personal power and prestige and the destruction of theJews. The British mandate of Palestine was a fornicating abortion from day one. They placated the Palestinians and barely tolerated the Jews. The Jews suffered and ultimately persevered. What magnificent people! They have earned this American Christian's undying admiration and affection Sorry to just prattle on. ........John.

Pretty much agreed. I look at it in a less eloquent mindset: The Europeans saw easy control of the backwater, superstitious, short-minded middle-east & did it without hesitation & shame. I think "the chosen" have already done their part & are "chosen" NO LONGER. You say you're an American Christian (I happen to be a follower of Jesus), so I will retell an instance said to have been spoken by Jesus: "A king desired to hold a great feast & invited everyone in his kingdom...but NOBODY from the king's country came. So, he told his servants to go as far out into the countryside as possible...to the highways & byways & bring any who would come. That became the feast of the king." Pretty much...the Jews blew it. Chosen at one time, but NO LONGER special. They will find the promise...but ONLY in the "end times" written about in revelation prophecy. Unique people, yes. Above others...NO MORE. Some would be foolish enough to call me "antisemite" (I AM NOT)...but I pay attention to scriptures. As for the rest of the arab nations...what a conglomeration of uneducated neanderthals...not to mention their archaic religion is FULL TO THE BRIM with contradiction, misinformation & superstitious fantasy of a barbaric nature. The European nations are setting the groundwork for the one-world-order that brings about the "order of the beast" & the antichrist. Time is short.

I’ve always wondered why we were never taught anything about the Middle East during my 12 years of schooling. I believe it’s because our leaders didn’t really understand what was going on and certainly not our teachers. Our schooling, mostly concentrated on Europe, and our own country, which has led to woefully uneducated people concerning current events. Thus College students demonstrate without knowing the facts, it’s all emotionally banding together for camaraderie with ignorance.

No it wasn’t I guess you forgot the Churchill white paper which formulated British policy in Palestine. “The white paper, formalized as a Palestine Order in Council in August,[33] reaffirmed the British commitment to a national home, promised that Palestine would not become a Jewish State and that Arabs would not be subordinated to Jews. Fieldhouse further says that the white paper "interpreted and subtly modified the harshness of the mandate." It pointed out that the Balfour Declaration did "not contemplate that Palestine as a whole should be converted into a Jewish national home, but that such a home should be founded in Palestine" and affirming the right to Jewish immigration but subject to the concept of "economic absorptive capacity".[34]”

The two state solution has been rendered impossible due to the thousands of illegal settlements eating up tbe West Bank. Israeli members of the Government make no secret of the fact that they are not interested in a two state solution. The aim is a greater Israel. East Jerusalem was supposed to be the capital of a Palestinian state. Hence the continuing evictions of Palestinians from their homes to be occupied by illegal settlers. Trump did his bit by deciding to transfer its embassy there (under the influence of Jared Kushner) and Biden hasn't changed that. The Israeli Human Rights Group, B'tselem regular reports on human rights violations against Palestinians. Virgin Mary appeared in Necedah, Wisconsin, USA in 1950 to 1975 and she said many things over the 25 years about the Rothschilds London Banking House. Or if you will Redshield , or Amschel Meyer family. A so called conspiracy to destroy Christianity and establish a One World Government and One World Religion. Virgin Mary said in Necedah, Wisconsin that the Rothschilds conspired to kill 10 European Kings and I think 5 or 6 Czars. Virgin Mary said the Rothschilds smuggled Lenin into Russia to overthrow the Czar and establish Communism in Russia, and of course destroy the Russian Orthodox church. Virgin Mary said John Wilkes Booth was acting on behalf of the Rothschilds when he murdered Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln was using his good offices to unite the Russian Orthodox church to the Roman Catholic church. The Rothschilds did not want this because it would strengthen Christianity. Virgin Mary said Freemasonry was started by the Rothschilds. She said the people who murdered and tortured the Czar and his family and servants were all non Russian so-called Jews. Virgin Mary also said that Adolf Hitler was murdered in 1939 , by his top henchmen because he wouldn't bomb the Vatican. So if this was true then, it was possibly Goering who probably murdered a good portion of the Jewish people and decided to invade Russia. Sorry! The Necedah Shrine. Org. Has 2 books that detail the so called messages, not approved by the Catholic church of course ! Revelations and Messages 2 volumes 4.50 each.

The San Remo accords were based on the Sykes Picco agreement maps and confirmed the divsion of area of influence between both countries as mandates. This division did not take in consideration the various Arab tribes that live in region. Is resulted in the Kurd's been divided between Syria, Turkey, Iraq, and Iran (Persia). The British tried placing foreign rulers (The Hashemite family from Saudi Arabia) on people that did not know them or want them (Syria and Iraq), this led to creation of Trans-Jordan with King Abdullah I as its ruler. The British tried delaying the formation of the State of Israel.

Good video, many people seem to think Sykes Picot was what created the border between Iraq and Syria but as you go over this is just wrong. But anyways, I find the whole narrative that Middle Eastern states are "artificial" to be a very bad argument. The borders already had some historical precedent for one, and it would have been impossible to divide the region into uni-ethnic states without widespread ethnic cleansing. Issues with sectarianism had completely different causes than borderd alone, and a solution to it is nationalism rather than balkanizing the region. All borders are arbitrary, and Iraq is no less arbitrary a state as Britain. Borders were far from the most pernicious aspect of Western colonialism in the Middle East. Ironically, the British actually tried to justify its rule in Iraq by calling it a "fake nation".

Differentiating between Arabs and Jews as distinct and opposing groups creates a misleading narrative that overlooks the existence of Jewish Arabs, who are both ethnically Arab and religiously Jewish. In Avi Shlaim's book, Three Worlds: Memoirs of an Arab-Jew, he highlights this nuanced identity, challenging the simplistic dichotomy that portrays Arabs and Jews as inherently conflicting. This oversimplification obscures the shared cultural and historical connections between the two groups, reinforcing unnecessary and extremely toxic divisions. If anyone wants a more nuanced perspective on this topic, I can really recommend that book!

To be fair a limited mandate makes sense because many of these peoples were aligned with specific tribes or small kingdoms and not modern day nation states. To this day many Arabs are still loyal to their tribes. Saying to them okay you are independent now figure it out would have been a terrible idea. By having a mandate for a limited period of time it allowed those disparate tribes to unite into a single people and gave them a set of prexisting laws to work with.
