christo, so i am left handed but golf right and have been golfing for 40+ years. my natural tendency is to pull with the left shoulder and side to do the down swing and i always learned that that produces an ott move and is no good so all my golfing life i've been fighting to swing inside and struggle. i always felt if i could get my pull with the left side to work for me it might be more natural. i then watched your video on the ott miracle swing and went out to hit balls in my yard and from the very first swing it worked i mean like instantly and nothing to think about. i just swing back with the left shoulder and the arms and club go inside then pull down with the left side which kinda makes for the ott and then bada-bing i nailed the shot. i'm gonna order the video now, thnx so much for the help.

Love your breakdowns of classic ott swings. Have you considered Calvin Peete or Gene Littler?
@MiracleSwingExperience Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I have discussed Calvin Peete but not from the OTT perspective. I have always loved Gene Littler's swing and he deserves a video for sure!!

Looking at my younger swings I had a ott swing and that's why I was so good a when I had a 2 year break I forgot it and I started swinging with ott again and I instantly noticed a difference
@julietoozie Жыл бұрын
My two cents...taking the club inside on the backswing facilitates a bigger turn and can prevent the clubbed path on the downswing from being outside-in. Remember the "X-Factor" swing? If you were not supple enough you could not swing from the inside. The OTT swing allows anyone to have the correct clubbed path on the downswing.

christo, i guess my concept about the golfswing and the wieght shift has been wrong all along. what you're saying maybe it's a more instinctive move as you showed when throwing a ball, gotta try it out, thnx.

Are you still using the Martin Ayers swing from 10+ years ago ?
@methodicl26732 күн бұрын
I'm glad this works for people but most of those old swings you show don't look like ott to me and neither does your swing. Also we don't know what shot they are hitting. If someone is hitting a fade it will look like ott. Maybe it feels ott.

Howdy Christo Do you know what the principle of golf is? And Over the top of what? This riddle wrapped in a conundrum is indispensable! Let me know
@MiracleSwingExperience Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what your answer will be but I'll take a stab at it! The principle of golf is to applied leverage. Over the Top of the backswing plane.
@frednegus7017 Жыл бұрын
@@MiracleSwingExperience that was a good and clever answer and reveals you as a thinking man. The principle of golf is the “line of compression “ ( Homer Kelly TGM ). So every aspect of the swing is ordered to produce and reproduce the line of compression. Simply the swing goal is compress the ball along a line such they the ball will be delivered reasonably to the intended target. That which you would be “over the top “ of is the swing plane which is employed
@frednegus7017 Жыл бұрын
That which you would be over the top of is the swing plane which the golfer would employ to deliver effectively the ball to target. You don’t ever want to be OVER the plane. This would produce a pull hook ( if the face is closed ; or sweeping slice if open ). What you have identified is a plane shift possibly from an elbow plane to a turned shoulder plane. But never over the top… Anyway you are performing excellent work. One day I will come visit and work through all these concepts with you. For fun. All the best FJN. KEEP UP YOUR GREAT WORK.

One more thing : so much for all that stupid talk about shallowing which by the way is a function of inertia and NEVER a twisting of the forearm. Cheers F

Again, you do not apparently understand what OTT is. You are not even close.
@MiracleSwingExperience Жыл бұрын
Thanks MV, what is your understanding of it?
@motionalysisbyken Жыл бұрын
An OTT swing requires a exaggerated inside takeaway and a top of backswing position which is '1940s/50' flat'...this is marketing BS and is, probably, unsuitable for, and damaging for, the vast percentage of learning golfers
@CallMeJackWagon6 ай бұрын
I've heard him comment before that his swing flaw is too far inside out so OTT feel helps correct that. I agree with you. The avg Am has the opposite problem.
@NathanMiller-p3o6 ай бұрын
I disagree I started watching Jack and rolling the ankles, I usually come over the top anyways I added 10-25 yards depending on the club and swing easier, and my consistency has improved this in about 10 days
