I have watched your channel for fifteen years. When you came out with the ott swing...I was very skeptical...i'm 66...just got over a bad bout with cancer, emergency surgery, radiation, and chemo ...yesterday, I was playing with some friends...they both hit in the 100s...I usually hit around 85. i decided, on a couple of drives, to try the over the top swing...keep in mind, this is with NO practice....both drives were GREAT!!!...I don't really understand why it feels better, but it does. Going out to the range this morning to work on it with irons and then playing a round with some better golfers!...hope this is the key for me!

Chris, you are one of the best teachers I have witnessed you get to the point in most cases and explain it simply. I have a much better understanding of the golf swing because of you. thank you

Christo, I'm a believer! I couldn't play at all last year due to a shoulder injury, so this spring when I could start to hit balls again my old swing was working. I gave the OTT move a go and it is so much easier and my swing has never been better. I'm striking the center of all my irons consistently and and picked up around 10-15 yards throughout the bag. My wife was a sports psychologist at the military academy in NY and worked with the golf team, so she's seen some elite level swings. She watched the video of one of my range sessions and said my swing is really good. I know she's a little biased, but she's also brutally honest. So that's good enough for me coupled with the results I'm seeing. Thank you!!

Christo, I haven't seen you in a while and felt happy to come across this video. So short and sweet. One question - what clubs are you playing today? In the past you promoted small companies nobody ever heard about.

I'm watching some of your videos and sent one to my father-in-law. However something that helped me was putting and chipping only with my game balls. So whatever ball you use to play a round with use the same ones to putt and chip.👍

What would you do different if you could go 10 years back in time?
@MiracleSwingExperience
@MiracleSwingExperience 2 жыл бұрын
It's hard to imagine being able to go back in time. But, in regard to scoring I would have devoted myself to wedges and short game. It's sooo huge and nobody practices it. I'm at the range giving lessons, hitting balls, and all I see is people whacking away, day after day.

Hey Christo, have you watched Todd Graves videos of him hitting, especially irons? I see him do a over the top swing. Check him out and see if you see what I am seeing....interesting.

Was watching an old video of Tommy Armour. It looks like he had an ott swing. 🤔

I understand what you’re doing but I disagree a bit about the “over the top” description. If you would post a video from a truly DTL view, you would see that the backswing is inside the conventional path and the downswing is on the conventional path. Your left shoulder through impact left is excellent.

I noticed she take it on the inside on the way back, but it doesn’t look like you go up. It looks like your flatter and you go around. I thought you were supposed to go up.

If golf magazines didn't cause problems they'd be out of business. It's like a dentist selling candy. I could not improve until I stopped reading golf magazines.

I had a friend say golf magazines aren't there to make you a better golfer. They are published to sell clubs. So, the tips are great if they frustrate the reader.

Think "hands faster" and also like ben hogan says in 5 lessons to try to make sure the hands are working as one unit. I have the same bad tendency that tries to creep in where my right shoulder and hand wanna "punch" the ball and end up leaving the face open and chunking a lot. for some reason waggling with the intent of the hands doing "equal work" or having "equal speed" helped me a lot to get the feel for resisting levering the shoulder. youll wanna start relatively slow though and work up in speed.

PS…several shots/putts from the same spot is NOT a guide of quality- you can’t do that on a golf course in a round..how about 5 balls from different places, and no editing, and we’ll see how good his/these systems are.

Idea for a video... I have made this point before..... Hogan always did things with a purpose. He always had items in his front pockets... kzbin.info/www/bejne/pH3Jh6KadrGGaw I suggest he did this for a purpose, a swing thought probably involving clearing the hips. Have you noticed this?

This is absolute nonsense…trying to market some things a really great player (BH) did and tout them as useful to golfers in general. The OTT approach is flawed because it relies on certain aspects being in the backswing (flat inside) and is horrendously inapplicable to many golfers. BH fought a hook his early life, and his body functions were limited as a result of the car accident, so he adapted his swing accordingly. DON’T fall for the OTT…it is ‘snake oil’ unless you couple it with a hugely inside takeaway…and none of us is/are BH.

I’m not arguing about what this guy teaches but when I was young I played in three USGA Championships, Division I Golfer at a Top 15 ranked College and qualified for three Nike Tour events. At that time I was swinging inside (slightly across the line at the top) and coming over the top to square up. As a continued in golf I was instructed to swing more like Faldo on Leadbetter’s instruction more matching swing planes and golf became more difficult for me. My athleticism was removed from my swing. This swing may or may not be right for most but swinging like this was the most athletic move for me and that’s when golf was the most fun.
