If you’re looking for a certain wave, you know exactly what spot you need to sit on to find it. At least I do. But you can’t look for every wave from one spot. You’re looking for The Wave, the one you see clearly in your mind. The same is true of all thing in life. You need to know exactly the wave you want and see it clearly to get the universe to bring it to you. But you also have to know you’re in the right spot for that envision wave. Knowing is doing the homework. Sitting there, in the right spot, is the action the homework begets. The doubt is gone when you know because you studied.

I live in a concrete jungle and I find little ways the world shows me I am riding the right wave.. if that's a light that turns green the second I get to the intersection.. or a door that's closing and I am able to just squeeze right through.. My best mindset is when I'm not thinking about anything, good or bad. I don't let myself overanalyze or under analyze but have the confidence in myself that my brain will come up with the answer and I just need to convey it. I'm an engineer so this is more a method for answering questions on specific, technical things about my projects.

I'm a supply vessel captain at 59yo in the Gulf of Mexico. I have to do 3 hours, 2 mimimum, alone in my stateroom before going up to the wheelhouse. I haven't riden a board in 5 years(MISS IT!) but, I'm surfing 500ton vessels around all the time 😁 I MUST visualize waves a bit more, it seems.
