How can "constructive embarrassment" lead to greater confidence? Personal coach Philipp Humm argues that by purposefully doing something embarrassing every day, we can train ourselves to deal with feelings of shame in the workplace and beyond--and build real confidence in any environment.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

@@Philipp-Humm yep. Definitely gave me stories to tell. After a while you learn when to ask questions and when to keep your mouth shut. I learned how to talk with people. At a gas station, you have to be able to treat the homeless with the same respect as your former governors. Sometimes saw both within five minutes of each other. You see people as people. I needed the job to teach me how to communicate with people. Doesn't mean I liked all aspects of the job, but I did learn a lot (worked at multiple stores). In a twisted way I miss customer service, but not necessarily all of the customers. Especially the ones who lived to make others lives more difficult. Learned how to handle the difficult people too. Perspective matters.

when we were children, we can do every wired thing as we want, there is no notice or judgement from others, so children don't feel depressed, but as we grow up, we have to do anything in rule, we afraid of being judged by others on our weird behaviour or thought. We feel oppressed that lead us into depression.

Thank you very much! I think I will use this technique for the things I need to do anyway like facing this machinery of torment aka the normal adults life which includes such inhumane obstacles like responding to clients and using the telephone to solve problems. And I will rename it as "tea" for time, embrace, appreciate. So that after every cup of coffee I can have a cup of tea and after every cup of tea I can reward myself with a cup of coffee 😅 But jokes aside, I truly believe this is a useful tool and can build a lot momentum. Thanks for inspiration ✌
