From over 20 years ago, kiddos. Who says late night tv wasn’t always political? Furthermore, he was on point with all of his mimics. Perot was a character who was on fire, then ended up running scared cause he really didn’t want the responsibility of president.

Of course the shows have always been political. The difference being, nowadays every host is sanctimonious about it with their staunch views on full display, lecture after lecture under the guise of monologue "jokes." Back then it was mostly just poking fun at our politicians. Late Night's Clutch Cargo segments, Conan's recurring Clinton "Boobie" and GWB "Huh?" impressions, for example. In the current climate, Fallon mostly keeps it light. But Kimmel, Meyers and Colbert sure love to rage on a nightly basis.
